I was trail riding the other day with my buddies and my bike died when I stopped to wait on them. We tried changing spark plugs first with no luck. Then tested and found out it wasn't getting spark. What is most likely the problem? Thanks in advance!

(I know I could do some research but I am really busy today and tomorrow and hope to come back to find some suggestions without having to go through all that)

The most likely cause is a dirty or rusted coil mount. You can do an OHMs test to get you headed in the right direction.
The second would be the spark plug connection at the wire. They get dirty, rusted and full of crud and cause a bad connection. In most cases the boot can be unscrewed from the wire and then the wire trimmed off about 1/4" and the boot screwed back into the wire.
The third would be the kill switch. See if you get spark with it disconnected.
The fourth is dirty or rusted engine to frame mounts.
After that the stator would need to be checked.

No worries. I'm sure this troubleshooting guide will lead you to the source of your problem. Paw Paw is all things mechanical and troubleshooting around here. One of those guys that we can all learn from.

Another understated source is Pete24. Good guy. And knows his stuff. Both of those guys have been around for a long time. There are a lot of guys with good info to share. The downside is that you can't believe everything you read here. You'll get a feel for who's who and who to really pay attention to.
