Clear THAT GAP ?

You know, the one right after the start-split ?

It looked impossible, yet these dudes do impossible things nightly....

they could do it but they had a pole there so the riders just could't leap over it and cut the turn off...i think

J-Law, was the only one that I actually saw "jump" the jump. Everyone else rolled it and then jumped the following double.

I was watching on TV like almost everyone else though so......................

You're talking about the wall after the split right?

I don't think anyone tried to jump from that wall to the turning double, not much of a landing and if you missed you would definitely be hurt. I did see J-Law jump a little off the wall and flatland before the next jump...

Reed, Bubba and I think Dungey all flat landed it at least once.

As said above, a couple guys using the left lane tried to make up some time flat-landing farther out. I think J-Law was hoping to angle over to the right and land far enough out and over to be able to block the rider using the right lane. But he wasn't able to.

Didn't catch practice so I don't know if anyone gave it a shot then.

A few Flat-Landed, from the left lane, in attempt to make a pass. It was slower to use that lane.

The face of the jump, from the right lane, had a good rut that allowed the riders to turn up the jump face a little faster.

If riders chose the left lane, they had to use the outside berm, and it was obviously slower. I didn't see one pass there.

However, I am certain, I could have made the pass, and cleared the jump !

I think rup is talking about when it was still a double before they changed it to a single and then a double into that right hander.

Problem with that jump was the right had a smooth transition all the way up the face and the left had a little ledge cut into the bottom so it was hard to get a smooth run. I was the flagger at that jump and when I first walked up to it I thought it was going to be a busy night but nobody tried it. I understand that the gap was 10' closer on Thursday but after Windham flatlanded they wanted to make it "UNCLEARABLE".
