I'll be out in the woods constantly once October rolls around up til December hunting whitetails, I don't understand the trophy hunting mindset . We were raised to eat what you kill or don't kill it ,of course there are exceptions when your property ,animals or livestock are being harmed. Clearly that family has been hunting for awhile and they should have realized they were going to get backlash for some of those poses .

Yeah, those pictures of her with her foot propped up on the animal was terrible. People like them give hunters a bad name. I'll be staying with my Hoyt and bowtech can kiss my ass.

Maybe you should read up on the conservation efforts and controlling herd sizes in Africa. There is a reason these kind of hunts are allowed and encouraged.

I understand the conservation side. I'm a hunter. I don't have a problem with hunters. I do take issue with some of the poses the girl and father have with the harvested animal in the pictures. There's no need to take the captain morgan stance on the dead animal like you just conquered a foe that pillaged a village.

Exactly. Everybody flipped their lid over Cecil the Lion and were ready to kill the dentist who shot him. One year later and no one is paying hundreds of thousands to shoot anymore lions so the refuge workers are just killing them off by the hundreds. And no money is going to conservation efforts.

That said, I'm never going to go big game hunting.

there's really nothing to get. this girl loves to hunt, was raised by a family of hunters, has the means to hunt exotic game so she does. the meat goes to local villages and she gets to have the memory of taking down a trophy, legally i might add.

how about people mind their own business and live their own lives without getting worked up about what John down the street is doing.

I'm a hunter, love the thrill of the kill and what savings I get from the meat.
One thing I never understood is how you can get a thrill from killing an animal with a high power weapon. Whats the thrill in shooting a 1/4 mile away?
I bow hunt but if I could make it more even I would jump out of a tree like a Cat and break it's neck with my hands.
Since i'm not that stealth i'll stick to the Bow.

I don't hunt myself, but if I did it would be bow hunting. I believe it makes more of a fair fight. Only problem though is a bad shot can really cause the animal to suffer.

Most people show these animals to their kids in the zoo. They get outraged when they see a kid shooting one.

There was a local community near me that wouldn't let anyone hunt. The deer got so out of control. Theyd walk right up to you abd eat out of your hand. Well one day that community said enough is enough. Two Saturday's they had paid hunters come in with the police to bow hunt. Those deer had no idea theyd walk right up to their death. A lot of sport in that. Restriction on hunting caused that mess.
