What ever happened to all of this? What happened in regards to the build be it the Factory Emig Replica (no question that that should of been the build), or the Pro Circuit Splitfire Replica?

The same shop is building my '04 SoBe replica and others. When there are updates they will be posted. It's not like anyone has been holding out on you guys... These projects take some time. Just a little more patience! We're all excited to see the results when they come.

When the builder was in a non moto related accident and does not have surface feeling on his left arm plus continuos internal burning and throbbing it will take longer than two weeks.

That is why I have not been keeping these builds updated . Once the Dr's figure out what's is causing this then I can get on a path of recovery. Until then I can't work in the shop.

I will update the threads of these the builds the best I can and as soon as I can

My comment was in regards to the Original Poster nine1seven's build. I am very interested in seeing a Factory Rebuild with his stock of SR parts.

718, I have had my medical issues also (that have completely stopped certain builds). Get well. Would like to see your build also when time permits.

The frame is ready now so I shipped it off for powder coat and should get it back soon.
Do you have any tips or suggestions for welding skid plate tabs and case guard tabs on the frame? I'm looking to do the same on my rm 125.

Thanks

I was involved with this bike, and both the SoBe bike (which is mine) and on this '98 KX250 (which mine at one time), we had a buddy weld the tabs in place.

This was done in the Houston, TX, area, since there is so much manufacturing related to oil and gas production here, it was straightforward to find someone who could do this.

There is no other information to report on this (you'd asked about MIG/TIG, etc in the SoBe thread).

The powdercoating on the RM250 was done locally, we had to send it back because they kept making an issue of how difficult is to make black powdercoating come out glossy. So I would recommend you have it painted if you are going for a glossy black look and have limited access to decent powdercoaters, which you'd asked about in the SoBe thred.

That is everything. Good luck on your project.

nine1seven/718...I was a newbie and would get so confused when I would leave a message to nine1seven and 718 would reply. Glad that I never purchased anything he was offering.
