I posted this in Race Shop as well...
When I install the header and the midpipe, the bracket on the mid is about 1/2 off from aligning with the mounting bracket. It's as if the header pipe isn't slipping in to the midpipe far enough.

I contacted Yoshimura and they are looking into it. BTW we checked part numbers Etc...
I pulled the pipes off the bike to make sure that I was pushing the mid into the header as far as possible, and made a mark to show that when it was on the bike. Anyone else have issues like this?
Thx,
Kevin

Have you tried just putting the header on first and getting that to line up and then put the mid pipe and silencer on?

They should be able to tell from that pic if the tab was clocked wrong when welded in the jig.

Cut a 1/4'' off the male part of the slip. Ck it and cut more if needed.

OK...I got it to fit.
Heres what i did...
-Put the header on, loosely, like a couple of turns, install the nuts. DO NOT snug them down to where the header is in engine exhaust port- that will happen later.
-Then, install mid pipe, and put bolt through the bracket on the bike, do not tighten the nut yet.
This will make the header pipe be out of the engine exhaust port a bit, you will see a space.
-Then, tighten the nuts for the header, they will pull the header into the engine exhaust port.
-Then install the slip on, and tighten everything up.

I guess I was surprised that if I had the header pipe into the engine exhaust port, that there would be misalignment with the midpipe mounting bracket, and if I loosened the nuts on the header pipe, and put the bolt in the mid pipe bracket, that the header would have a space where it would fit into the engine exhaust port.
The exhaust is more flexible than I thought, and so as I tightened everything- it all fit.

Thanks for the suggestions. Moto on everyone!
