Infinite Warfare vs. Battlefield 1?

So, being someone that has played CoD ever since Modern Warfare, the minute I put in Bad Co. 2 I was absolutely hooked. All of the sudden, everything everyone ever said about "Battlefield being way better" or "CoD not being for real gamers" sunk in. Don't get me wrong, I love CoD and the nostalgia factor is unpresidented. Being able to pick up the controller and play is something video games need, and CoD has this quality where BF takes quite some time to get acquired. With that said, for me BF has it's own unpresidented gaming experience as well. Comparing BF to CoD almost doesn't make sense because they are so different, yet they do have the obvious similarities that makes them FPS games. Seeing Infinite Warfare disappoint millions of people two minutes into the launch trailer being released definitely shocked me and I don't think they deserve the hate they're getting, but the space shit is getting a little beat to death. Meanwhile, BF1 looks like it should be the best FPS game ever. What do you guys think?

I still play modern warfare. pisses me off the remastered requires you to buy the new one.

BF1 is gonna pull a lot of 2001-2006 college kids back into the mix of FPS possibly. Wish I had more time to play anymore.

Will buy BF1. I haven't bought a CoD game since MW3, and that was just to finish the story. IMO CoD went from attempting to be realistic through to MW1, since then they have catered to 12 year olds.
BF is where it is at, perfect mix of strategy, action and realism. I have never played through a BF storyline though, only multiplayer

Original COD MW was great. Simple but effective. Classes were perfect. Seemless game play. No wonder it was a 10/10.

yeh i picked up BF4 for ps4 and got hooked, cannot stand COD anymore everytime i try to play that game i quit within 5mins, campers everywhere, little kids yellings, unrealistc etc.

BF4 is awesome and only costs $20, yeh it does take maybe an hour or so to get used to all the vehicles and classes. love it when people try to hide/camp and you just blow the wall away with Tank and destructable environments.

a funny new trick i just started doing, loading a 4wheeler with c4's, jumping off and letting the 4wheeler ghost into a tank/men, then set off the C4

CoD World at War was one of my favorite games, but the CoD franchise has lost me since Black Ops 2. I'll probably pick up BF1.

CoD sucks, ever since the first Modern Warfare. too futuristic and too many 12 year olds with nothing to do but play. i played the shit out of MW but just can't get into it anymore.

Battlefield1 looks amazeballs.

i just started playing the Borderlands series again, love those games. i'm mainly a single player these days anyway.

I mostly play gta5 online with modded accounts. Pisses people off to no end when you shoot them while they are in their garages. Grinning never got into the CoD games.

Original mw1 and BF1 were the best. All these jetpacks lost me big time. I have bought every one and the last 4 have been horrible. Kill, die kill, kill ,diediedie, kill kill kill die die cant even breathe. Battlefield 1 should be good again.

Been playing the Battlefield series since it began with 1942. They've always been head and shoulders above the rest as far as war games go. If you can get about 4-5 guys that know what they're doing, your squad can fuck some shit up on a 64 man server.

The new CoD comes with a remastered edition of the original Modern Warfare I believe. If so, I will almost certainly be buying it. I played the shit out of that when it came out the first time. It was awesome

I haven't played a CoD title since Black Ops. I've been playing BF since Bad Company II, and always found it to be more "grown up" than CoD with a much more mature player base. Over the years, that has changed...a lot. No one uses coms any more on BF, it's just every man for himself. And cheaters? Damn, I was playing last night, and there were probably five guys kicked during one freaking game for hacks (I play on PC).

Lately, I've gravitated more towards smaller, indie games. Mostly, Insurgency, Squad, and Rising Storm. Everyone uses coms and it's a more realistic damage model. As in, if you pop someone with a round from a M16 in the chest, they're going down. None of this BF bullsh*t where it takes an entire clip to kill someone. The games move slower, but are much more intense.

All that being said, I'll end up buying BF1. If for no other reason, nostalgia.

I love casual games because they are easier to get into and less frustrating. The best type of casual games are easy to pick up and hard to master. I have to build a new PC so I can play BF1 cranked to the max. Still waiting for Rising storm 2 though. RO2 was a very fun game.
