Chad has always offered his advice, and willing to discuss it In person. He is usually the first to say if something is unsafe for the riders and seems to have the most respect/will to say to the proper channel. As for DC and MXSports, I have never met Davey, but he seems like a good dude who is extremely passionate about the sport. Perhaps it takes a few years to develope the proper revenue to make large changes? Of course i have always believed the journalism in this sport is a absolute fraud. It's the same damn questions every week and a 10 year old could perform that job. Matthes is the ONLY one who has the balls to state his actual opinion without fear of being shunned by a rider etc. As a whole, this sport will never grow because it is not professional. In the end we still appear to be a bunch of hillbillies on dirt scooters riding in a circle. Sanctioning body? Rider protection? Standardized rulings? Fuel fines? We could go on and on about the joke that we are. But I love the sport and this is what we have.

I'm sure many of you will just write it off as whining, but he's made these comments about the track prep in the US for years, and well before the last few where he's been below par outdoors... And he's not wrong. It's not necessary to have every damn track attempt to be Red Bud but it seems to be the aim. The GPs have different soil conditions and dust is rarely a problem.

As for making money. I don't think you can exhalt GL up on high and trash DC for making money, but there are definitely things the GPs seems to be doing that the Nationals do not... and visa versa.
I will agree on one thing with you Crush and that is the tracks don't need cookie cutter soil conditions. They also don't all need to be ripped deep as hell and end up becoming slot car tracks. As for Chad and his "opinions" I just let it go in one ear and out the other as I am sure many in the "industry" probably do Smile

I agree we need to stop making them all be so similar and have more of a gp type variety of track conditions in our outdoor series. We desperately need to add a super deep euro style sand track to the series imo.

This is how I envision some people in this thread.

Blink "That's shit! This sport gave him every thing he has! How dare he talk bad about it like that! There's hundreds of people that would kill to have this job!"

Meanwhile, at work: "Greg, you know just as well as I do that this workplace is never going to change. I just wish someone would listen to our ideas."

If someone listened: That's shit!. This job has given you everything you have! How dare you talk bad about it like that! There's hundreds of people that would kill to have this job!"
