With the 92 Peak PC CR125 and the 94 SplitFire PC KX125 parked up comfortably, I'm making a start with my 3rd Pro Circuit 2 stroke replica. Years ago before I'd built any 2 stroke machines, it was a toss up between a 92 PC 125, or a 98 PC 125.
I couldn't ever find the really rare Pro Circuit parts to get the Peak bike going, even after years of searching, so I changed plan to go with one of my favourite PC bikes of all time - the 1998 SplitFire PC KX125. With Carmichael winning every East coast SX race on it for the perfect season, then going onto win the 98 outdoor season too with ease, it's a pretty special year for Pro Circuit. To me, the '98 is the best looking 2 stroke team bike Pro Circuit ever built.
I was only young, but in 98 I went to watch our home MXDN here in the UK at Foxhill (the crazy mud race!) so got to see Carmichael tear up on this machine which is pretty cool! If only I could rewatch it again now!
So whilst on a 2 week ride trip to CMH (California Motocross Holidays) with some buddies a couple of years ago, we got to visit Pro Circuit shop (a dream for me). Luckily i took over 100 close up pictures of the 98 Splitfire KX, making it easy for me now to spot details on parts used on the bikes roughly.
Anyway, I felt it time to get a build thread underway for the bike, as I've learnt with my past 2 build threads, they create lots of help with parts finding and info regarding the bike.
If anyone has any info/pics etc that can help, feel free to post! Thanks

The rear Braking disc kit i think will be the hardest bit to find, i may not be able to find one before farleigh but i can add that on in future. You're the only guy in the world i know who has one!
PC should really hire you.
I'll be at California next month and visit PC again, if i can do anything for you ? With pleasure !
I'll bear that in mind for sure, may need some pics by that stage.
I'll just need a 98 Braking rear disc and bracket...
Regarding the super evo rules for the Farleigh race; will you use the '94 frame and engine together? If you run the '98 frame, wouldn't that disqualify you?
Whether i get this to a stage i can race it for Farleigh this year is still unknown, but i won't cut corners on quality - so i may be on the 94 KX again for this year. I have the 98 frame and motor set aside for future, but im planning on running a modified 96 frame for now to make it race legal, with my 94 motor that's already built. In 96 the factory AMA bikes in the 125 and 250 class ran the new shape swinger (97 pre-production) and the same with the frames too, so i'm going along those lines (any 96 KHI swingarms out there?!)
I'm still searching for an original kit that i want to put on the bike after i've ridden it...
In half of the pictures that I found they just used a black seat cover so I don't think that would be that hard to find and replicate.

Nice pants, Chuck! I didn't even know that AXO released those to the public.
Managed to find a set of the Emig Racing axle blocks on an 01 Strategic 3 KX250 team bike my friend owns. Took them to my friends machine shop and had them copied 100%.
I've had a couple of sets made up so if anyones interested in a pair please let me know. They were used on a load of team Kawasaki 125/250s from 97-02. Will come in bare ally for you to either leave silver (as they were on the 98 splitfire sx bikes, or anodise brown as they later had them.
What Would a jersey for these pants be worth
