What size are you looking for? I have a few new sets in stock that I need to blow-out. Better than motosport prices I assure you.

Why? No local moto shops? A consistent customer at a dealership will get a better deal than at Motosport.com. If no one will help you, find another dealer that will deal with you and ship to your door. The dealers need all the help they can get!

Support your local dealer!!!

X2

Motosport is a motorcycle just like your LOCAL dealer except they are a BIG player with internet sales as are Dennis Kirk, Chaperral, Bobs, etc., they are dealers too.
Motosport is a huge warehouse with a storefront the size of your living room...not a dealer! Plus unless it is closeout stuff, you are generally only getting 10% off anyway...

Dennis Kirk is the farthest thing from a dealership....get a clue man! PU's slogan should be "We Support the Sport...just not our dealers"!

My A-Stars have been good boots, but, I've heard so much good stuff about the Gaerne's and about how durable they are that I thought it was time to give them a try.

I'd shop locally, but I don't know of anyone around here that carries them.
Honda/Kawasaki West on 820 and Hwy.80 carry SG10's and 12's. I'd try them on before ordering, they are huge, in Tech 10's I wear a 10, my foot slid comfortably into a size 8 SG10.

I've owned a shit load of boots in my 20+ years of riding. I will tell you my 661 with hinge are as good or better than anything I've ever had. I love them!

I never changed sizes between the two brands.

Good luck! Full report, eh?

Yep, nothing compares to the Crossfire TA. I have that exact same pair in the race trailer myself. I was skeptical about the hype, until I bought some. Best feeling boot I ever put my foot in.

I'd try the Sidi, but they don't have any retail stores here. I want to try on the boots before I buy.

Sorry for straying from the topic a little, but since we are talking boots.......does anyone else have a problem with Tech 10's (or any other boot for that matter) getting snagged on your bike.....mainly the right side? I ride a YZ250 2-stroke and my right boot gets snagged on the shroud or something and I've been trying to figure out a way to stop it from happening. Any ideas? Thanks!

I was in the same boat as you, didnt want to buy before I tried them. I ruminated over it for a year as my old POS Tech-6s disintegrated literally on my feet. I called Houston Yamaha and they said, "Every person who has walked in this door, who put their foot in a Crossfire boot said the same thing, that it was the best feeling boot they ever tried." Then he told me, "Just follow their sizing instructions correctly and order them, you will not regret it."

I did what they said, and they were right. Its not hype, those boots ARE the shit.

Thats what I figured, I've seen guys at the track just use duct tape around the top of the boot .......but I was hoping I wouldnt have to go that route.

The problem: feet on the pegs, the top of my left boot got locked in place. My cure on my 07 YZ450:
I took a heavy-duty zip tie, like the utility company uses, and went around the rear tips of the radiator shrouds and pulled it tight. This drew the plastic inward just about 1/4 inch on each side.
Seems to have cured the problem for me.

I actually have that problem with my knee braces on my 06 CRF 450. Every once in a while, it will get hung. It's mainly because I let myself slide a little too far back on the seat,
but yes it happens. Can't remember it happening with the boot.

thanks Bobby. Yeah, the plastic on the heel on my old tech 7's cratered this weekend. They were shot anyway. The current boots keep having the soles break loose.

Blink

mine weren't that bad, but, the plastic cap on the heal shattered into pieces.

I'm off to shop! Hopefully they'll have some cool stuff.

Yep, hands down best boot. After breaking my foot with the A-stars because of the buckle across the top and going through sole after sole I went to Sidi and have loved them. Tried some SG12's and 10's but couldn't feel the shifter with them because for me the toe box is too big.

well...I pulled the trigger on some SG10s. They fit my feet real nice and felt comfortable immediately. I tried on a pair of Fox boots...not the top of the line, but, thought I'd try 'em for grins. They had a sewing flap that cuts right across the middle top of the toe. Felt awful. I couldn't even walk around in them.

I put on some Tech 7s (newer style than the ones I have). They were the stiffest boots I've ever put on. Zero flex. Don't know what it would take to break them in, but, I didn't like them. And the fit was completely wrong for my foot (as opposed to the old ones).

I tried on the SG10s and my feet were at home immediately. I'm very satisfied with the purchase. I paid a little extra to buy them local, but I got to try them on and that's important. I may be swimming up stream buying local, but, I try to when I can.

Also tried on a Shoei helmet. That's a nice lid. Felt very comfy. Very, very pricey at almost $600. They'd knock 15% off, but I still couldn't pay that.

I'm riding tomorrow, so we'll see how the boots work on the bike.

Re: the Shoei lid, I went from a Shoei to a new TLD SE-2 this year because of price and it's very nice. If you look hard you can find some smoking deals on non-current models, too. Paid under $200 for mine.

Those Sidi Crossfire are indeed a classy boot. We've been using pairs of them for the past two seasons. The only flaw is that the inner ankle hinge surround is vunerable and wears away on the bike frame. The Gearne looks more well made there....
