Here's what it says:

"This is your chance to own a piece of recent history, a bike just like Bubba used to win the most intense supercross series in a long time! I was at the finals at Las Vegas were I registered for a chance to win the bike. They had taken it to all sixteen races and there was over 42,000 people entered for a chance to win it! Guess what I received a call two weeks later from Keith Mckarty from Yamaha Motor Corp congradulating me on winning it! The bike is a work of art and looks just like the champs bike, all the plastic, handlebars, brakeaway levers, carbon fiber parts, titianiam hand welded footpeg, chain and sprockets, clucth and timing covers and James own personal exaust system thats not avaliable to the public, and his own personal grafixs, Its stuff he has ran on his own race bikes even the gas tank, they have taken and put own a stock bike. I also have all the stock parts they have taken off the bike that will go with it! The bike will only increase in value as time goes on! Any questions call 270-543-6342 and ask for Kelly"

Read the discription. It's a brand new bike w/ bolt-ons that JS7 uses. Not worth $7K in my book.

Regardless, it's a shame that it's on ebay.

*Although, the pipe doesn't look like it's available to just anyone...

So Yamaha does this contest and the winner puts the bike on E-Bay. What a winner! I bet Yamaha would be pumped to know the guy never rode it and is just trying to off it to the highest bid.

I'm sure they would actually. No matter who won it the exposure was in getting 42000 people to register, now its just giving them more exposure than it would have if one guy would have ridden it. Look all of us are talking about it aren't we?

The winner of that bike has to pay taxes on "lottery winnings". So they don't get a FREE bike, they are subject to paying the taxes on it and I'd imagine said taxes on the inflated value of that bike is somewhere around $3-4 grand. The bottom line is whether or not that bike is worth $3-4 grand for them to keep it.

I am just saying, that for 7 grand, its no deal.

I would go buy a stock one from the dealer for 55oo and get the suspension done, you have a bike you will never be able to go as fast as it can go for under 6 grand, with no traveling or shipping.

I just dont go for all the bling parts is all, but thats me.

It won't hit 6 via this eBay auction. I'd be suprised if it gets to 5. But I agree reserve is probaly around 6.

I need to sell some bikes, I'm good at buying just not selling.

It will be taxed as income! You'd pay income tax, not sales tax. Homeschooled? If you ever hit the lottery, let me know why you only got paid 53% of the winnings. Or just tell the IRS they are crazy and you'll only pay 6%. Mental midgets in this thread for sure.

I understand the reason behind the reserve, but why don't they just put starting point at the reserve they want?
