Yeah. He was going downhill and hit a breaking bump and the front end turned on him and caused him to go over the bars. He still made it back to 2nd, and got the overall with a win in the 2nd moto.

If Speeedy doesn't get his gut problems worked out, Short has proven through consistency and speed that he could take the c-ship.

The title is Reed's. Look over the last few years and no one has been more consistent.
If the first few rounds of this season have showed us anything.......I wouldnt say the title is anyones yet.

Three races in, and it looks like this atop the 450 standings.

1. Mike Alessi 142
2. Chad Reed 111
3. Josh Grant 94
4. Andrew Short 93

With Mike sidelined, he may still be in the top four after the weekend, thanks to his 31-point lead. But the points chase is considerably tighter between Reed, Grant, and Short...less than 20 points separate them.

Handicapping this one isn't easy. Chad appears to have gotten faster at each round, but has the stomach issues to deal with. JG looked good at Glen Helen and Hangtown, but faltered at Freestone. Short? He's smooth and steady. Can he turn it up a notch or two?

Things are going to get interesting...
Chad is going to walk away with the title. He's too consistant for the guys that are left in the series. That's just MHO.

It will be a huge upset if Reed doesn't win it all.

No doubt!!! I have to admit, I hate seeing all these guys get hurt, but it is making for an interesting season... Look at the top 10 in points... Crazy!!!
