Taken from Racer X:

Jason Lawrence continued his bi-polar ways last weekend. I’m not talking about him loaning a bike to Tyler Wharton (good) then punting Broc Hepler and pulling off the track (bad). Apparently Jason cut down sections of the fence at the Honda test track and has been jumping over and riding the track when nobody is there (bad). When he was approached about it by Erik Kehoe he handed him $1,000 cash and told him it was for track maintenance (good, I guess?). The Jason Lawrence Show continues.

I doubt that trying to get more practice time is him attempting to be funny. Have you been around any sand lately?

" I don't recall stories about true champions like I hear about J-Law. "

Fucking up and doing stupid shit gets you media attention in just about any professional sport. Laughing
Look at Mike Tyson,Tonya Harding,Pete Rose,OJ Simpson,Darrel Strawberry...the list goes on and on.

I'm sure there are plenty of other riders who have done stupid childish stuff, but they are smart enough not to get caught. Wink

I am guilty of removing a chain on the gate of the Colorado State Patrol test track on top of Table Mountain in Golden Colorado. We used to go up there in 84 to ride our roadrace bikes. Danny walker was there too. First place I ever dragged a knee!

I thought it was in prison

its funny that he broke into the track and practiced and tossed them $1000 for "maintainence" like it was no big deal. it is something id expect from J-law and your right i would not expect it from reed or stewart or any of the TRUE champions of our sport.... sad part is j-law has the natural talent to be a "true" champion he just doesnt have the drive right now and he may not ever...
