No doubt on what you are saying Ozzy and I give GL the utmost respect, the guy is a warrior.
I am sure Langston wouldn't be throwing his leg over unless he was confident that the vision was 100%.

I just wonder if maybe it will be in the minds of the others at the table.

Unless one of the other at the table is you in which case I will stfu....lol.

I agree.

Grant would be a stupid racer to go out there on the cheap. For a hundred or 200k I'd tell him to skip it. He's already accomplished and set up financially.

But for 500 or 700 plus his other deals? Maybe it's worth a little extra throttle out of the gravity cavity to pick up a podium position.

But Yamaha deserves some value too. And Grants picture will be in the magazines. And like I said originally Langston knows how to get up front even if the speed slice of the pie is a little off.

So again it's all about "how much"

Excellent to hear he's back. Here's hoping his speed is up there. With him in the mix, we could very possibly see at least a 3-way battle for the championship, if not more.

Awesome SX season....and possibly an even crazier MX season. Times are good.

I think it's about being reasonable!
If in fact he talks to whoever, sure his
over health will certainly come up,
that's expected.........
Also, I'm sure on his end, he's going to be
reasonable....."$" wise.
I don't think that's his motivation at this point in time,
all things considered!
If he's 100%, all involved know he's a contender!
I wouldn't be the least bit surprised, that if he in fact
green lights himself, & all systems are go, he'll make
short work of those others that are struggling
currently in SX.
I've seen it many times before.....
If 100%, top 5's & better no problem!
Especially how those "Yammies" seem to be running.

You forget they paid him for the entire year after and he didn't race at all, that's pretty respectable in my eyes.

Give him a good bike , a decent salary and make the majority of the money performance based.

I know langston would be semi fast, but a title threat? I dont think so. I wouldnt mind seeing langston on yamaha in place of hepler (the kid is made of glass) but still dont think he would be a threat.

They paid what the legal document that they drafted and presented him said they were required to pay.

They woulda shafted him if they coud have....that's MX for ya....... Disposable heroes.

They had more money for the lawyers than Langston did so no, I don't think they are that respectable.

Jus sayin"

Glad to hear he's back and I beleive he runs up front and any of the 5 brands would be silly to not hitch on and get him marketing their bike.........since there's gonna be alot of leftovers on showroom floors.

Semi fast? He has plenty of time for preparation. He's beaten everyone he's will possibly be going up against this summer before, he has it in him to do it again if he's really ready too.

It's really good news to see him racing again. The eye injury looked grime just a few months ago.

that was 2 years ago. short wasnt at the speed he is at now, alessi sure as hell wasnt at the speed he is now, and the new young talent (cryan ryan, Jlaw etc) wasnt in the class yet. top 5? yeah I could see that, maybe a few top podiums, but right now there are other riders that have stepped up their games past the level I believe langston is at right now.

Write Langston off at your own peril. People have thought he has been washed up a few times already in his career and he has come back to win a title.

With two months to prepare and focus exclusively on the outdoors, I like his chances. I doubt Grant would even be considering this if he didn't feel pretty good on the bike already. He has never really stopped riding, and obviously he now feels his speed and fitness is getting closer to where it needs to be to contend.

No Stewart, Reed or Windham? Ferry coming off an injury, Villopoto with a mysterious illness... I think a healthy Grant can handle Short and Alessi.

GL won the 2006 West SX Title with 3 wins and RV got 3rd with 1 win.

Why do people keep saying that Reed and Windham aren't doing outdoors? James has even said he is doing select events. I think a lot of people will be suprised May 23rd.

your not making sence! you said : ''because Reeds suzuki press release said he wasnt racing outdoors''

then repilied:
"Reed will race the 2009 AMA Supercross series and other selected events in the United States as well as compete in supercross events in his home country of Australia aboard his Suzuki EFI RM-Z450.

so your last post was correct! doesnt say he is or isn't
