I watched the main twice yesterday and i must say with all the talk about the Yamaha, what i seen was James just making mistakes. Yes the bike is sketchy in the whoops but all the other mistakes he made which was 4 or 5 prior to the crash, were on him and not the bike.
Sure the bike can be improved but you will hear that from every rider. These guys can ride anything.
I bagged on Reed plenty but i will give him credit he was hauling, not that i didnt think he wasnt going to. One thing i thought was comical was when one of the commentators said look at the gap Reed has put on Stewart " Its almost two whole seconds "
Then i blinked my eyes and Stewart was back in front of him.

If anyone can come back and completley dominate, its James Stewart.

Now the bike isn't good enough?
Josh Grant, seemed to be happy with his...hmmm ?
Different riding styles require different set-ups !
Or was it this one?
So P where do you get your expert opinion from? How is it that that bike "Aint Right"?
Is it because James is squirly in the whoops? Give me a damn break!
Dont get me wrong i enjoy the racing live on TV but if they would ever show someone other than the Top 3 then you would see a whole lot of riders with worse set-ups than James.
Simple fact is sure the bike can be improved. Any bike can be improved, but James had a bad night. Maybe he didnt think Reed was able of running his speed which most of us didnt. But Reed stepped it up and he was hauling. The damn bike is fine and the mistakes are on James.
Reed, Jlaw, Langston, and a ton of others have done pretty well with there "non EFI" "non handling" Yamabogs...
How many titles have the Great Honda 450's won the last several years?
