We were there during US Open a few years back. We had just flipped a house and decided to spoil ourselves with a 1st class vacation. We stayed in Caesars in a celebrity suite for 4 days, and then MGM for 4 during the SX. It was cool to have the whole city littered with moto people. I played Blackjack with Ernesto and talked with GuyB while at a table. We enjoy gambling and probably played 15 hours a day. (atleast) My wife and I had been on a lucky streak going that year between real estate, Qualifying for Saltwater and BASS series championships and our weekly poker game which was paying most of our bills that year as well. LOL We went expecting to lose some money but we could do no wrong and we will be back soon to give Vegas a chance to win some of their money back. NK
Right when we got there and into our room I looked out at the surrounding mountains and told my wife, we aren't living unless we rent a car and drive to the top of those peaks. We rented a jeep, grabbed a bucket of KFC and went vertical. Had my wife a little nervous as I picked a steep climb and made it to the top and picnicked overlooking the strip. That was cool. The next day we hired a guide to take us fishing on Lake Meade and the fishing was great. Fish were schooled up and busting the surface everywhere. The scenery was awesome and the views in every direction were spectacular. We rode the Monster Energy tagged monorail and checked out all the attractions we could do without taking away gambling time. Most of the clubs we went to were like a tourist assembly line. The roller coasters are fun and downtown is classic. But the last thing I remember as we were on our way to the airport was a CRF 450 sitting in front of a shop with a RENT ME sign on it. So I know what I will be doing next time. (If I can because my luck has recently changed)
I AM BORED!! I have been sitting in the hospital for days waiting for surgery. My wife called an ambulance after my recent back fracture and etc came apart on me the other day. The Dilaudid IV is OK though.
