GREENEVILLE, Tenn. (AP) - An East Tennessee man who authored a book called "Me and My Likker" has been ordered to be held without bond after authorities found more than 850 gallons of untaxed alcohol at his Cocke County home.
Federal authorities said Marvin "Popcorn" Sutton has a criminal record dating back to 1974.
Sutton appeared in federal court Friday on three charges of making and selling moonshine and one charge of being a convicted felon in possession of a weapon.
Sutton's appointed attorney did not immediately return phone calls to the Associated Press on Friday.
Earlier this month, his home was searched in an undercover operation by the Tennessee Alcoholic Beverage Commission. Authorities found three large stills capable of producing up to 1,000 gallons of alcohol, hundreds of gallons of ingredients and firearms and ammunition.[/quote:2pt0fc2z]

that's certainly not him, but i think he lives in Greeneville. I'll bet he has the scoop on "Popcorn" Hillbilly- how about it?
I agree, leave the ol' guy alone, a man's gotta' make a livin' for himself & he ain't hurtin' anyone doing it.
The oil tank in my basement holds 275 gallons, it's about 4' high & 6' long, so he had a hair over 3 of those full of liquor.
That ain't the motherload for sure & considering what shine goes for, he's not exactly getting rich off the stuff.
Yes , as Operations Mgr. for GreenEville HONDA, Hillbilly is our rider for this shop and has done rather well in his return to racing.
