riders have insurance to cover their lost wages from missing races?

no free tickets.....my point exactly![/quote:1i51yqcy]

Sure its called WORKERS COMP if they race for the right team!!!

How much does Chad Reed pay for tix?[/quote:1i51yqcy]

how many riders do you think have wcomp?

yes reed like every other rider pays to race, pays to have a mechanic there and for tickets to enter the event![/quote:1i51yqcy]

Is Bubba getting paid now!!! YES
Does Chad Or his team pay for entry?? HIS TEAM
WHAT TEAM ARE YOU ON? That will not pay for your entry or absence in a race?
get back on the subject . how much will nascar pay for payouts?? Why doesn't Supercross pay more?? Lets base it on attendence. Do you get paid more if the grocery store you bag for gets more customers? No
I think the riders should get a percentage of the ticket sales! better shows more people more prize money>>. Simple

I was talking to someone at AMA who isn't fired and he said that he had no idea what Dingman had decided and wasn't going to lose his job trying to guess.

NASCAR knows of ways to grow and squeeze money out of a sport that the idiots at AMA Pro and LN/CC have never even thought of. They have created an internal economy where one hand washes the other. For example, who here has been to a NASCAR race on a sponsor's junket? If you ever hear someone like Jimmie Johnson talking about "my fans in turn four", they are usually recognizing a group brought to the race by their sponsor. Sponsors like Lowe's not only use NASCAR as 200mph billboard, they also use the events as team-building, morale-boosting rewards for their workforce. I did it with Citgo a couple of times when Neil Bonnett was racing for them. They bus you in to the race in the morning, you get a free breakfast, meet your driver, get a bunch of gimme-bling, take a track tour, there's a tent outside your seating section with food and drink open all day for your use, seats together, they bus you out, have parties all weekend and so on, etc. It's a big incentive deal for these sponsors and their employees and it attracts new fans to the sport in a really positive way. They've been doing it forever. NHRA does it, too on a less-ambitious scale.

When you start bashing on YS for stepping on the little guy by trying to put up more VIP tents, etc, this is the kind of thing I think you're attacking. I don't care what you think about YS or NASCAR or whomever, but this kind of thing works to build the fan and sponsor base. It really does. Big picture kind of thinking is required.
