Who paid for all of those "left over" materials? The lumber yard wouldn't take them back, for a small restocking fee? So you could refund the customer, you thieving little prick?

The guy who owns the property bought more than he needed when we started the project.. the origininal plan was to add 20ft to the end but the structure wouldn't support it.. Enough flooring for 20x36 and more bathroom cabinets.

Why would he refund the customer, unless he was working cost plus. Is that how you work? I figured you were too stupid to do a proper estimate.
