824 at California Speedway

Ricky was given a great opportunity on Saturday. Jamie Little from ESPN invited him out to the California Speedway to meet and talk to Jimmy Johnson. Ricky got to spend about an hour with Jimmy just prior to the afternoon practice. When Ricky was outside Jimmy's hauler Jeff Gordon came over and asked Ricky all about how it was to ride his dirt bike again after his injury. They also discussed Hand controls for race cars and both Jimmy and Jeff really got into it. And added plus was Ricky got a chance to say hello to Clint Boyer.

It was a sweet afternoon, we left there and went to Hollywood where Ricky presented David Bailey with the 2008 Shoemaker sports award, what a day....

Very cool!

I got to meet Ricky about a week ago at a friends house and he is a cool kid; very down to earth and fun to hang with. :D

On a side note, I bought my last vehicle from Jimmy Johnson Chevrolet down here in San Diego.
