Parking Lot Motocross

We could keep the speeds down and make the tracks wide enough to have some fun. The worst injuries would be road rash if the speeds were low and the jumps were small. I know of a few places in my Town where I could get the owners to let a few guys ride. I know there are liability factors, but it would come down to “those you trust”. There is a go kart track about two minutes from my house. The owner is cool with whatever you want to ride on his track. He has little road course set up on the inside of the oval. hell he will even let you re-arrange the track. Sign the release, pay 25 bucks and you are there all day long. KTM supermoto guys practice there quit a bit. We've taken the pit bikes out there a few times, without changing the tires. Usually the best time is right when it starts raining, its like speedway on asphalt. All the oil, rubber, and whatever else has been leaked on the track, makes it bad ass when it rains.

Someone's done a series?

Pitbike supermoto is fun, they have a couple events around here. They just don't have the power to ad in the element of sliding and backing it in, which I think is important because it greatly increases the skill needed to go fast and also make it more fun.

I'd like to see a promoter offer that sportsman style supermoto races, where the only thing allowed was street tires on stock rims and maybe a oversize front rotor. Kind of like a summer version of ice racing. Street tires on stock rims stick amazingly well, thats all I've been running on my 650r and they stick almost as well as full 17" rims.
