Well that was a long time ago. About all I can tell you is that it was very light because it has a lot of titanium and magnesium parts, and it was fast as hell. That bike is the one I holeshot Marty Miller on. Other then that I don't remember.

Thanks, Ron told me he got it from Terry Tierman who was the president of Yamaha at the time. I think they were nieghbors. He said they used to take it to Deumont dunes, it had a paddle tire on it when I first saw it in his backyard. I have talked to Bob Hannah about it as well. He was surprised to hear that it was still around.

I was on Magoo Chandlers 83 Support Honda . I got his support bike from Greg Arnett ( Arnett Sunglasses.....name drop! ) After Magoo went full factory after a podium finish at Anaheim. That bike would holeshot everytime.
Then I got the 84 Team Tamm cr250 from you. Member dat? That bike was quick too. Got that bike for some sweet rims for your RX! Ha!

You were in the truck when Crandal almost killed us? We were in the flatbed coming back from Competition hill to our camp at Mammoth wash. Hauling booty down the rode we were just sitting on the flatbed with the cr500 strapped between me and your older Bro. Back end of the Honda was jumping all over the place and landing on our legs. Must have been doing 70 down that dirt road.

Yah...I buy all of the Wilkinson's bikes after a year of use and a few grand of goodies on em for a great price. I got some rims for an RX dude. Interested in swapping for your crf450?

I remember around 73 Staten would get out front with a 1/2 lap lead and pick up his girlfriend or a little brother and do sit down wheelies in front of the stands.
Before I started racing in 74 people would tell me Staten was retarded.So I took it for reals back then. Then in the late 70's early 80's when Rex came back from south Africa he pitted next to me. He struck up a conversation with me.And yes...Rex is retarded.I could hardly understand a word from him.
That night he had a cast on preveiously broken wrist and was racing after he modified the cast with a ball peen hammer. He had one of those white Yamaha's back when they were yellow here. Was cool and he was real fast still.Was interesting meeting a childhood idol.

Do you also remember Todd Miller? I witnessed his crash at the first Anaheim in 75 I think. I was on the track when it happened. Todd was very fast back then and I think it was a matter of time before he could have been the King of corona.I went to his funeral with the North High MX team. I remember always riding the Todd Miller memorial every year at corona raceway. He was good people.
