These videos are always so much fun to watch.

It blows my mind to think that a guy who can drive like that never even cracked the top 10 in a WRC event.

That's because there's a huge difference between stunt driving and racing. Where do you think the rally cross drivers would place in global rally?

"That's because there's a huge difference between stunt driving and racing."

Did you have to go to school to learn how to point out the glaringly obvious, or is it something that comes natural to you?

Rallycross drivers would do about as well at global rally as a supermoto racer would do at supercross. They're two different sports within a similar genre.

At 4:47 they show a picture of a man made island in Dubai called Palm Island. I watched a documentary on how they made that place. All I can say is it is some extremely over priced real estate. Only the mega rich live there.

I don't understand how his tires don't melt off his car in the middle of one of those drifting sessions. I know the whole video wasn't shot with one set of tires, but damn, even in one shot it seems like he would be getting to the steel in the tires.

I liked how the WRC announcers always referred to him as the "American action sports figure", never the rally driver from the U.S.

So why the fuck are you surprised that a stunt driver can't finish in the top of the field in Rally Cross?

Seems pretty retarded to not understand the various durometers of rubber compounds and their resilience to degradation & heat.

Because he was a rally driver (2005) before he was a stunt driver (2007), fuck chop. Have the best day ever.

If he was a rally driver where are his titles? where are his accolades? He's tied in with dc and now monster. He's a wealthy man trying to find purpose and reason in the world exploring his passions and talents. Not a rally driver. Seb Loeb is a rally driver. Makinen is a rally driver. Mcrae is a rally driver. Häkkinen was a rally driver.

Block is an american stunt driver, whose main rise to prominence came from this video series. Not rally racing.

Ken Block: Rally Driver

I can do this all day, butthole. Want to quit while you're ahead, or do you need me to point out your ignorance a few more times?

Ken Block is to Rally as Robby Gordon is to NASCAR. An able competitor who has skills beyond that sport that allow them to be very, very good at a lot of motorized types of racing, etc.

Block may not have won a WRC title just like Gordon hasn't won a NASCAR title, but that doesn't mean they haven't been competitors. That'd be like saying that Tommy Croft wasn't actually a motocross racer. Or Denny Stephenson. Or Michael Byrne.........

As for durometer testing, there are some pretty bright engineers who know quite a bit more about the topic than probably anyone here who couldn't figure things out at F1 Indy not too long ago. I'm pretty sure that they're not retarded, but anyone who would make that claim might well earn that title........
