I had the p3 on my 15.5 and my experience racing with it is the clear coat chipped easily and looked worn very quickly. Need to keep a full bottle of maxima sc1 close by. For that reason I left it on the 15fe when I sold it not to mention it's expensive. I'm getting the one you showed there. My buddy digger has one in black on his bike and his cousin has the orange one and they both look great in person.

Have you seen the glide plate MM #25 is running with the KTM logo? The one I showed looks pretty beefy and heavy.

What brand skid plate is that?

I believe it is from the KTM powerparts catalog but can be purchased through online companies such as AOMC. Here is the link but they don't have a picture of it. You can also search using the P/N shown on the site below. It will have 2 part numbers. One is the orange and the other black.

What's the going rate for the new cone valves set up? Factory connection was advertising about $3700 and I've been quoted $3500 elsewhere.

I thought they cost around $2800ish. But after my quotes there seems to be a ~$700 delta. Was I way off on what I was thinking the going rate was? Or did I just call the wrong shop?

They were 2700 but there was two different price increases I believe now there around the 3100 mark

I've seen used CV's for $2,000-$2,500 and new from $2,700-$3,600. Try Factory Connection or Powerband Racing in Minnesota, they had the best price when I was looking. It might be true the price went up with the new style release.

I have the P3 and agree with the above post. Plus it is very heavy. It looks more endurocross than motocross. I will sell my 95% new P3 orange carbon for $100 plus shipping if anyone wants it.

I was kind hoping for the $3k mark with the inflation. $3500 is a little hard to justify, when considering all said in done, I will have a $15k dirt bike. Man this sport is getting spendy!

She's a beaut!!!

quick question, did your FE come with an extra 'quicker' throttle cam? I have a 15.5 FE 450 and it did not, and the one thing I can not stand about the bike is the long throttle pull!
My next door neighbor is the owner of roll on throttle
Look them up!

Have you guys had to adjust the TPS on the new bikes? Ive read in other threads that people had issues with throttle response and decel pops with the 15 FE. Just curious if anyone has experienced the same issue with the 16s.

Joe, did you weld the tabs on the frame for the P3 then have the frame powder coated?

Do I need to get spacers, axle change, etc.? Or are these strictly bolt on?

Do you know how much shipping to Europe would be?

The new cone valves are strictly bolt on and regarding the tps you don't have to adjust it. I have the tps tool and went to diggers to help him adjust his bike before mine came in. Either direction we went with the tps it just made it worse. The best we could find was stock which is .55 so the actually raised it quite a bit from last years .49-.53

I have not but based on what I am hearing from people who've had the P3 Carbon, the clear coat wears off and then it looks like crap. I had one on backorder (P3) but cancelled it. I don't think plastic can be beat. It looks good for a longer time, it is cheaper, protects as well, and it is about the same weight. The carbon sure does look trick new though.

I'm dying here in NM waiting for my bike to show up!!!! I'm still only hearing people in Mass., Canada and Finland receiving bikes. Anyone from other states?

Nihilo has blue frame grip tape.

Digger, did you do much testing with the airforks vs CV's?

I wear through the Nihilo grip tape in like 2 rides. These are made by a local company and they're called Grip Guard. They're 3-4 times thicker than the Nihilo ones. BTO is using them this season. He had guys around here getting 10hrs out of them so I thought I'd give them a try. I didn't try my AER's (I sent them to Powerband when I got the bike) but tried a set in the fall and they were pretty good and far better than the dreaded 4CS fork BUT they're definitely not cone valves :-)
Hey Digger, I've looked for the Grip guard you mentioned but can't find anywhere. Can you send a link or let us know how to find. Nice work BTW
