Driveline Vibration Issue - Possible Root Cause This guy ran over a mattress and decided to keep going. The ensuing jumble finally whipped around enough to put a tear in the gas tank, the subsequent lack of fuel is what finally brought this vehicle to its knees. It had still managed to drive 30 more miles decently with a 60lb tangle wrapped around the drive shaft. This genius complained that the vehicle had a "shimmy" when driving it high speeds. Can you imagine the racket that made before it got 1/100 like that?

Thats like the guy going down the freeway with a flat at 65 MPH.

BTW, I wouldnt let a single kook in that photo check the air in my tires.

I'm sure the customer just wanted that free tire rotate and balance. Most likely refused the 2.5 hour misc service code: remove massive amounts of of wire entangled in driveline. Of course I'm sure he/she opted for the diff fluid renew at 99.95.

After that, IMO, the car is junk. With that thing out of balance for that long, the U joints are probably shot, along with the trans and rear diff.

I'd never trust it after that.

Can you imagine the trail of sparks that must have been leaving.

I'm sure the story is embellished. No one would drive that far with a vehicle making that kind of noise, it it even moved at all after it sucked the mattress in.

The guy has done the wrong thing. To do the experiment, first, you have to do all research for the experiment. Riding the bike on a mattress is not easy as we can see here. I think the rider has to do this on the best air mattress because due to the air on the mattress, the rider will have the comfort surface to ride.
