Can someone please give Decotis a good slap on the face right before gate drop!!?
Being serious, he has to try something to get him jolted before the gate drop. He has a holeshot checked off so far but he needs to attack that first lap with confidence!!

Still, hes having his best season ever with a top ten in each race.
Curiosity compelled me to consult the lap times. It looks like Decotis just couldn't maintain the speed for very many laps. I wouldn't say he dropped anchor at any one point, but he got slower and slower as the race progressed, particularly after the halfway point. Hopefully he can put his finger on the issue and battle back into the top 5, but with Nichols being the guy he would probably have to supplant, it won't be easy. He'll have all he can do to keep Smith and Oldenberg at bay, if he doesn't improve next week. In Oakland, he was 12th after the first lap, and finished 9th. Last nite he was 2nd after lap one...and finished 9th.
Regardless, I think he has more in him but right now things are falling into place. Visually it looks as though the bikes been riding him rather than him riding the bike.
Have you had the chance to learn anything from you GEICO Honda teammates RJ Hampshire and Jordon Smith, who have both competed in AMSOIL Arenacross during their Road to Supercross journey?
I live with RJ, actually. We have an apartment out in California. It's my trainer, him, and me so he's definitely been able to give me some advice about arenacross. I've also been riding with the whole GEICO Honda team - Christian Craig, Malcolm Stewart, Jordon and RJ. I've been able to get prepared for arenacross with them and they've been giving me a lot of advice, so I'm ready for it.
