Can someone please give Decotis a good slap on the face right before gate drop!!?

Being serious, he has to try something to get him jolted before the gate drop. He has a holeshot checked off so far but he needs to attack that first lap with confidence!!

Rip it up!! All your fans here in Mass and New England have your back.

Really disappointed tonight for Jimmy. How did he slide so far back? I was hoping top 5 at least.

He had a couple fourth place finishes in the races where he got a good start. There were a few guys that got by him during the closing laps that I really wouldn't expect to be passing him...at least not this season. Maybe he had an issue.

I am hoping he dumped it at some point. Otherwise, he can't be too pumped on the ride. He ran clean for a good while though.

Hate to say it but...I hope he crashed. Sliding back to 9th isnt good for a Team Geico Honda rider.

Still, hes having his best season ever with a top ten in each race.

At least he's still racing tho. Geico has been having a hell of a time keeping their young riders healthy for a whole season and off the ground

Curiosity compelled me to consult the lap times. It looks like Decotis just couldn't maintain the speed for very many laps. I wouldn't say he dropped anchor at any one point, but he got slower and slower as the race progressed, particularly after the halfway point. Hopefully he can put his finger on the issue and battle back into the top 5, but with Nichols being the guy he would probably have to supplant, it won't be easy. He'll have all he can do to keep Smith and Oldenberg at bay, if he doesn't improve next week. In Oakland, he was 12th after the first lap, and finished 9th. Last nite he was 2nd after lap one...and finished 9th.

Yeah, that's a bummer then. I love the Rippa but he's not going to get that ride a 3rd time. He's clearly got the speed but you can't go backwards that fast and keep a good ride. That sucks...

Maybe he needs to go work construction in Minnesota for a few years.

Anyone on here see what's going on behind the scenes? Has the limited time testing the Geico bike to blame on his race day performance? Or is it the non stop racing that he's been doing up until the SX season?

Regardless, I think he has more in him but right now things are falling into place. Visually it looks as though the bikes been riding him rather than him riding the bike.

Here's an extract from Chase Sexton's interview in RacerX. He mentions "riding with the whole Geico Honda team," but no mention of Decotis. Does Jimmy not ride with the rest of the team during the week?

Have you had the chance to learn anything from you GEICO Honda teammates RJ Hampshire and Jordon Smith, who have both competed in AMSOIL Arenacross during their Road to Supercross journey?

I live with RJ, actually. We have an apartment out in California. It's my trainer, him, and me so he's definitely been able to give me some advice about arenacross. I've also been riding with the whole GEICO Honda team - Christian Craig, Malcolm Stewart, Jordon and RJ. I've been able to get prepared for arenacross with them and they've been giving me a lot of advice, so I'm ready for it.

Or maybe he has a health problem and is recovering from being banged up.

Sounds like something is going on. There have been plenty of viruses going around. Lets hope it's not another case of the mx killer, Epstein Barre.. It would be great to see Jimmy on the podium this season. He's worked really hard and has the speed to be up there. Hopefully he'll get things turned around for the next couple of rounds.
