tomac and starting devices

the starts clearly holding him back for a while now. so my question is why does he and the team not use/ try any of the rear starting devices or launch controls used by jgr and factory yamaha?

i don't expect any miracles from those devices but one should think it could help him out or at least give him more confidents.

Some guys just get bad starts, while other guys excel on starts. I would rater be like Tomac and get a bad start and charge to the front than be like Alessi and get the holeshot and charge to the back.

A lot of guys aren't keen on those rear start devices because they make the linkage behave oddly during normal riding. I think reed tried one and opted to go with a standard set up, too.
