high crosswinds+contaminated surface+RTO=loss of centerline control and a off-runway adventure.

Do think if they had enough uneven yaw thrust and then hit enough ice to lose centerline that would do it?

You should never try to change the CD during takeoff.

It was reported that the A/C went off the runway at WhiskyAlpha about 2,000 feet down a 12,500 foot runway. The airplane was likely below V1 and an engine failure would result in bringing the failed engine to idle. The flight crew would have to fight the asymmetric thrust for a very short period of time. It could be enough to begin a slide, but braking action was "good" so I'd like to imagine the crew was able to properly maintain control even with the crosswind.

Who knows tho? They could have had the Cut, swerved a bit, hit some snow/ice off the runway, and had it get worse from here.

I chalk that up to a shit happens. However, I think anyone stupid enough to board a plane in that weather is a fool. Like Vegas crosswinds and that plane that landed in the Potomac.

When it gets bad enough, birds hit their hole. And they can land ANYWHERE.

That proves, animals might be a bit smarter than humans.

Yes the wind would push it off the side if the conveyor is rolling the same speed as the trhust it takes to overcome that speed which is X.

It wont take off unless wind speed over the wings becomes enought to generate lift.

A plane could take off sitting still in a hurricane force headwind.
