Seems like there are a lot of these going on...Will be a slow work in progress as I have a couple other projects going on at the moment. Picked this up on Thanksgiving. I had looked at it on Monday, the kid wanted $1600 for it. I get there it has no front wheel on it, no chain, sitting on an ice chest, although I started it on the first kick (balancing on the ice chest)...I said no thanks and left. He texted me on Thursday saying he needs money, how much can I give him for it as it sits. I said $800, he wanted a grand but said I could do no more. One hour latter he text me to pick it up, so I did.
No front wheel so just layed it in my truck

Had an old tube so threw it in so could get a wheel on, also found a master link laying around to put the chain on. Wife took a pic of me ripping it up the driveway quick before Thanksgiving dinner

Don't think it has a lot of hours on it from the wear on the clutch cover, pipe, airbox covers seems minimal. No damage/wear on frame underside. Major obvious issues so far: A lot of missing/mismatched hardware, need a new seat as this one was cut down, front disc rotor bent. Things besides these I would like to do: SSS suspension upgrade, new OEM top/bottom end, new chain/sprockets, '15 plastic & footpegs and depending on budget possibly black excels and fmf pipe/silencer and v-force reeds. Keeping an eye on flea bag and local craigslist/face book for sales for take off items.

Minimal wear, not sure why the kickstarter is in this forward position?
Bent rotor

Couple updates, stripped down to the frame. Found some issues I didn't plan on like broken power valve actuating arm. Lot of corrosion on flywheel. Swing arm bolt was pretty stuborn, don't think it was ever greased... Shift stopper was still old style so replacing that. Rod felt ok but when taking further apart to replace power valve actuating arm feel some movement in right hand side crank bearing so will rebuilding bottom end also. With added expense I think the black wheels are going to be out for now. SSS suspension upgrade may also be on hold unless find a good deal. Was high bidder on set of new forks on ebay but reserve wasn't met so that didn't work...

While waiting for parts (and since more parts than originally planned) went for budget works pipe look by stripping stock pipe and blueing the welds. Also was able to find a new front disc rotor on e-bay for $25 and a set of Renthal bars on local craigslist for $20 to replace the bent items currently on the bike. So far into it for approx $1300 (including ebay seat so I can keep the cut down one incase the wife wants to ride it, OEM top end and gasket kit, stopper and power valve actuator, miscellaneous seals and hardware, new sprockets and chain and and FMF shorty also off ebay.

I have an 09 250F swingarm/linkage/brake that would be legit on that if interested. I was going to put it on one of my bikes but need the 09+ hub and axle but i have already purchased new wheels and hubs.

following. Our bikes are very similar and it seems that you are going in the same direction with upgrades as I am.
I am getting ready to look at my shift stopper? Was the process hard did you leave the motor in the bike while you did it?

Yeah shift stopper removal is no problem in the frame. You can remove it by just removing the clutch cover you don't have to remove the entire right hand cover. I haven't received the part yet, so not sure how hard to get it back on, read that the spring is a little difficut. I've found that Honda of East Toledo has the cheapest OEM parts, if you find someone cheaper let me know, but that's where I've been ordering from.

She's included??!! I'll see what the budget looks like when I get closer to being finished, if you still have them (assuming yours) maybe we can work something out? If there are yours do you know if they have ever been serviced?

I purchased them about the same time as I was offered a set off of a 10 hout 250f. The stocker were certainly too light for my 180+ carcus, though I'm sure if I wasn't such a fast sum bitch I could slide by Lol. Anyway those 250f legs may be a bit firmer than I expected. It's all woods riding for me until spring moto so I'm tempted to through this set from the '07 125 on to check out tomorrow.
I see no sign of them being popped open, they appear to be virgins and that's the "word" I got from the party I purchased them from. The shock has zero wear on the reservoir, where I normally give ' em a rub down with my flaling. So I suspect an easy life.

Dropped cylinder off to get welded/replated by millineum, exhaust port bridge was cracked. Found clutch push Rod broke...rebuild suspension linkage, small section was frozen tight, had to make my own puller to get one bushing out as heat wasn't working. Nice and smooth now.

Since Packers decided to not show up today...tore bottom end apart. Used home made puller to split cases, bearing was bad on right side so glad I took it apart instead of just throwing in new top end. Now waiting on some parts to put back together. Ziped tied transmission together as I never took one apart before and didn't want to have to learn...

Haven't updated this for a while, made some progress. Received a bunch of OEM parts, not sure what happened to my pictures, but replaced crank bearings and seals. New cylinder, piston, rings and gaskets

A guy I used to race with is supposed to be getting me a pair of SSS forks in April, but decided to rebuild existing forks just in case that doesn't come thru...
