The best finished bikes of the "boutique" brands. But pretty much a trials/enduro company..

They had a MX 250F in the making, with Boissière (former GP rider now enduro guy) and former world champ Mickael Maschio doing the testing, but i don't know where they are on that. The enduro bikes are pretty good, they just have to work a bit more on the durability.

Here's a boutique brand that has pursued MX succesfully. TM

I suspect Sherco's and Beta's would be very competitive if they chose to pursue MX.

I have no problems with mine..

To me, it would be nice to see the rules relaxed to allow these "smaller" brands in the US. I'd love to see TM, Beta, etc competing over here. Personally, I'm not sure there is a better way to open the door and get these brands to sell more in the US. If people started seeing them on the tracks, they would see interest grow. I remember when KTM was an "off brand". Not sure they would have grown as well without the ability to race the US SX and MX series.

Two or three years ago, while I was in Spain for to ride, some enduro test rider for Sherco showed up on a very supercross styled track with what looked like a bone stock enduro 250f, complete with headlights, soft suspension and eveything, and pretty much smoked everyone on that thing. Was pretty cool to watch

I've ridden the 2015 Sherco 250 2-stroke and that bike has all the potential to be a great MX bike if it wanted to. Power was great, chassis was stable and the bike looks great. Suspension and power delivery were obviously very much enduro-centric, but I've wondered as well why there is no MX version of these bikes.
