On social scoop, there was a photo purportedly of Eli's new helmet. It has Geico and Muscle Milk graphics. Why would he post a photo of that helmet if he is signing with Kawasaki? Is the Kawasaki deal 100%? If so, does anyone know when the announcement would be made? Thanks.

From what I've seen it's a done deal. They're just delaying the announcement. The helmet is a dead giveaway - who wears green gear on a Honda? You'd look like a Christmas tree!

I looked on the 6D website and it closely resembles the Factory Connection Racing replica graphics with the camo paint scheme.


On the visor it clearly has the Honda and wing. Maybe wishful thinking, but I would like to see him on the Honda.

Honest question...where have you "seen" the things you've "seen" that prove it a done deal?

Do you have a personal relationship with someone at Geico, Honda, Kawi such that you'd be privy to not yet public info on Tomacs contracts? Or are you just talking about stuff you've seen online at Vital, Pulp, Geico, etc.??

October 1st is when all the contracts begin/run too... He's a Geico Honda rider till then and would still have contractual obligations to support his sponsors....

There are a few people deep within the industry (owners of companies, writers) that have mentioned a few things to a close contact of mine. Obviously no one can divulge this kind of information fully... Are you upset that he's leaving Honda?

Weege and Grant talked about it a little bit during the Indiana race (they also mentioned Bogle as a possible teammate), but they were careful to say it was a "strong rumor," so there was no stamping it, unfortunately.

Tagger Designs custom painted it for Eli way back for the San Diego SX with an air force theme as a tribute to the miltary themed event, and for his brother that serves. Way before the Kawi news. Move along now...
