Nice work.
-Supermoto wheels with a small brake and no handguards mean it's not for SM racing?
-No road kit, so not road use.
-SM wheels mean it's not for MX.
About the only thing I'm left with is hillclimb.
The Shop
Luxon 4-Post Bar Mounts
$189.95 - $239.95
DeCal Works Huge Plastic Inventory of UFO and Polisport kits.
Here she is in her old livery , in the pits for a hillclimb run
This was my DRZ back in 2001, and then my WR in 2004 (which used to have a daylight ticket, but after the MOT, the number boards would come off, and lights go on so I didn't get pulled up by plod all the time)
Here 9 times out of 10, the police are great, but you only need to get the wrong one, and you're in the shit.
Got 3 points and a rectification notice (new MOT req'd job) on a year old bike coming away from a track day for tyres 0.2mm below the limit.
Gave the SM stuff up following a big crash, and an inability to ride it like anything other than a dirtbike should be ridden.
I have a set of 17" astralites in the garage in 3.5 and 4.5 widths. I keep having bad thoughts about building a retro supermoto, as I really enjoyed building my CR
I'll watch your build with interest.
Even the sprocket and disc offsets are right!
Finally rebuilt this at the start of the year and took it racing.
I've only had it 15 years!
I have 3 more projects hoarded, and waiting in line to be built, (and a mini)
Once they're out the way, who knows?
I do know it's always good to have a large stockpile of tasty parts though, just incase.
This is also my donor kx 1994
Love a bit of 90's dayglo myself.
My CR's colour scheme for next year is very 1991!!
- and yes, it is a 91, just currently with '90 250 shrouds as the 90/91 factory hybrids looked so cool IMO.
Another 93 livery
Pit Row
All those colour schemes are certainly bright.
I currently get crap for having fluoro pink grips and a fluoro pink/white bar pad.
Back in the day I had fluoro green grips on a set of purple renthals, with a multi-coloured paint-splattered bar pad. Now that was an assault on the eyes!
Bike looks cool with all the ridiculous color on it haha!
I'd have those FET / Splitfire swingarm graphics that you have on one of the old pictures, but maybe you allready bought these? don't remember ;-)
