Question about MCR

Tony once posted a photo about picking up Hondas on instagram and saying something along the lines of "three riders, friese, mike alessi, and one more rider"

Now, one of his latest posts of a 2016 bike build and a picture of a rim, he @'s friese, mike, and then @captain891 which is obviously bogle.

Am I the only one thinking no chance in hell they pickup bogle.... No factory Honda support, as far as I've heard anyways, only thing I'm thinking is if bogle was blindfolded and signed for a lot of money....

Thoughts?

Have you considered that if Honda and Kawi pass on Bogle, he may not have any better options? Salary, good bike, rich owner who likes to spend.... or pay your own way and try to break even.

Not saying I'm a fan of him going to MCR, but I'm sure he's not turning down factory bikes to ride for Tony Alessi.

I would take the pay and a bike you have control over (in the past, Vince has been allowed to do almost whatever he wants with his bikes) over twiddling my thumbs, buying my own bikes to race a few rounds and then have to possibly jump on a different brand and still not getting payed at all to ride the good bike for a few races.

Their bikes are 3 seconds faster than Stock and Factory bikes and that means 6 seconds a lap faster.

I'm hoping for a Tomac/Bogle duo at Kawi next year. I would be shocked if Bogle didn't go to big team with his talent. Nothing against MCR, but that's Bogle's best option for a team other than fielding his own effort? I find that extremely hard to believe.

I know there 'might' be some baggage with this gig, but think about how great this really would be as far as the racing/motorcycle side........
As ML512 said, he could have some control of how he would want the bike, (most likely) they would race the entire supercross series, some Canadian outdoor MX rounds, some GP's, and probably some one off races.
Do a little traveling, race some guys you normally wouldn't get the opportunity to, probably get a free hot tub out of the deal, and a check that doesn't bounce.
On a 450, Bogle could get some podiums in supercross on the right night, but I'm sorry he really isn't an outdoor threat for a championship.

MCR has lasted longer than TwoTwo yet no one said anything about their reliability as a team when they signed another rider. Judging from RV, Davi and Ken, a factory team isn't what it's cracked up to be. As long as he's getting paid, has a mechanic and can focus on his riding who cares. If Tony wasn't associated with the team I bet you wouldn't have the bad impression of it.

I still find it strange racing part time in three different championships. Even if you're an underdog with low chances of winning you're making the odds even worse. It's like Toronto Maple Leafs would drop 20 rounds of NHL to play some fly away games in Russia. They have about zero percent chance to win to begin with, but with the part time deal they make sure it stays at zero percent.

Yeah I think racing 3 different places was a massive failure, and I'd be extremely surprised to see them do it next year. Most likely nationals all summer, but I guess they could do Canada again.

IF Bogle were to sign with MCR, do you think he would do so knowing that he would be skipping around 2-3 different series next summer? Me thinks not. If that's the plan, I hope he's taking some on-line classes from University of Phoenix or somewhere in his spare time...
