Well I went ahead and got it today. First things first, the running boards are coming off. I guess I'll look at what I wanna do it now.

Nice looking truck !!! I was looking at the F150 FX4 and a RAM 1500 sport and it is the first Ford I ever considered buying but in the end I got a Ram 1500 because I can get them at $500 over cost because my wife works in the car business but they dont have a Ford dealer. I took my running boards off first thing also and then all the emblems . I have a sport model so I am not doing a leveling kit as I like the raked look of the Ram but On the Ford I would do a leveling kit. VERY nice looking F150 !! I think you will like it , did you get a V8 or Econo Boost ? I know the V8s are hard to find but I drove a econo boost and its has PLENTY of power. Smile Cool

I stuck with the V8. I traded in my old F-150 and looked at all the brands, but in the end I came back to the Ford. I still can't believe the deal I got on it. I highly, highly, highly recommend Whitson Morgan Ford in Clarksville for anyone that might be from around here. They gave me a deal that was unbelievable. I still keep waiting for them to call me and say the price was a mistake, haha.

How did you get the running boars off ? I tried to unbolt them from my brother's new
Mega Cab,and they just spin after a thread or 2,but they will tighten back up. He wasn't too
cool on the idea of me taking a tourch to his new truck. So glad I had the dealer take 'em off
my dually,before I took delivery.

Mine had 6 bolts on each side that came right out and then I just needed to lift them up and pull them off, I have no idea why the bolts wont come off on yours that is strange.

A few people at work bought new F-150s and were talking about getting as much a 9 grand off the price .

I installed Carli +2.5 springs on the front of my wife's '14 F350 and man are they nice. Leveled it up and gave good clearance for 325s plus the ride is plush.

Not sure if Carli does suspension for squirt trucks though.

Nice new trucks guys. I just drove my dad's new 15 Lincoln navigator and boy is it sweet. I'm getting out of the suburban like vehicles after having three but man this thing has every bell and whistle. Drove it 4 hours to Daytona and the waves are about 1 foot of coarse but at least our room is nice. Waves were good until yesterday I hear. They say I have the best luck but the worst timing and you need both. How did you guys get such good deals on your new trucks? I paid $9400 for the first crf450 this year and I don''t want to get ripped off again especially on a new truck. Lol

Believe it or not, I actually got a little bit more than that off the price. They tracked down exactly what I was looking for and went and swapped with another dealer

Now is a good time to buy a ford ,they have been dumping millions and millions into the aluminium truck and they want to sell as many as they can while the gas prices are down and people are buying bigger vehicles. The truck sales actually forced ford to lay off at the Michigan assembly plant that builds the ford focus.

It's about time they come down a little bit. These sticker prices are just getting ridiculous. Trucks have gone through the roof

When I was shopping for the F150 I drove both the V8 and the ecoboost and if I would have bought the Ford I would have defiantly got the V8. The eco had plenty of power but it just didn't have the sound and not sold yet on the twin turbos, hard part is finding the V8s

Does the Raptor need a leveling kit?
You "level" a raptor by doing a mid-perch mod. It brings the front end up to the same level rather than lowering the back end. It does require an alignment when it's all done though. It totally changes the look of the truck and you gain about 1.5" in the front.

Took a few hours to do it.

Congrats on the new ride!!! Enjoy. I tried swaying you to the Raptor side a couple weeks ago as I recall. You made a solid choice!

Nice truck, lostboy!

Congrats on the new truck! I think Ford has some of the best looking trucks.

@lostboy, you're going to love the Line-X. If you use your bed much, I would suggest having them go "over the rail" where the top of bed is covered. I realize your truck already has the plastic pieces, but the Line-X is much more durable, and the price difference is minimal. I imagine it would still work with the tonneau, but I'd ask them first.

Have any of yall used the softshell campers? I had a hard bedcover on my last truck and loved it, but I think a camper shell might be perfect for some of my hobbies. I'm thinking the softshell might be a good fit for me because I could take it up and down and use when I need to. Just curious if anyone has one and if they love them/hate them.

If the sticker is $62, how much can I get them down to on a F250? I am about to pull the trigger.

i put the front end level kit on my '12 Eco and it eat's the front tires like they're going out of style. i think i'm going to take the kit off before i put new tires on, it's bullshit.

while i love my Ecoboost, my next truck will probably be the new Chevy half-ton. congrats on the new truck Hvaughn, you're going to love it. i would maybe try to say DON'T put the level kit on it, but maybe they've figured it out by now..

also, i'm 6'2 and love my running boards. sure they don't look "badass" but they're nice to have, especially for my gf whom is a whole whopping 5'3 with heels

I'm leaning toward the coilover replacement kits. I like the fox one, but I dot think they have released a '15 specific one yet. The icon looks pretty nice too. Anybody used these? Have input from experience with them?
