I carry about 95% of the time that I leave the house. Got a couple different pistols I rotate in and out just so I don't get bored.

The 5% I don't carry is if I'm going to be having a drink (or 3 or 4 or 5), I'm not looking to get caught carrying & drinking and lose my rights.

So, you are telling us that people who hold a CHL permit are held to a higher standard than those who don't? Hmmmm. Next thing you know, you'll have to not have any prior misdemeanors and such...oh wait , that is already on the books too. Behind on taxes so no CHL permit? Damn....this is discrimination.

Laughing Laughing

Serious question now. Those of you who carry concealed or open, what kind of rig do you have? Can't decide which gun I would actually carry if I did. Currently just keep one fairly close by either at home or in the vehicle.
It looks like a wallet in my back pocket and it's really easy to access. I also wear somewhat slim fitting pants so it's nice that I don't have to keep it my waist.

This exact set up:

I do. If you follow the news a tall how could you not carry if you have a family?

10 to 15 illegals kill Americans a day they said in hearings today. More turned loose daily.

Here, the jail is like a revolving door, same people rob and steal weekly.

I have no permit,no guns registered, fear of the feds knowing I have guns drives that.

If caught I cross that bridge then .
Same here....crazy world we live in.

I would say I carry 98% of the time. My FNS Compact in 9mm is my everyday carry.

All of my defense pistols are .40 Glocks.

Glock 22 in vehicle or open.

Glock 23 vehicle or concealed.

Glock 27 vehicle or concealed.

My wife got her hands on a G42 (.380 Auto) and has been wanting one ever since. Sweet little gun, felt good in my hand as well. Might have to buy us both one!
Don't get the 42, get the 43! Same size and weight but is a 9mm!

I carry a smith & wesson shield. It's an awesome little gun and is extremely accurate. I absolutely love it.

I picked up a 43 a couple weeks ago and I absolutely love it. WAAAAYYY easier to carry than my 19 (obviously). I shot a Shield a couple times and I like those a lot but the last time I shot one it jammed up on me three times, so I refuse to carry one. Luckily this lil Glock hasn't had a hiccup yet

Yeah, hadn't ever compared them or shot them, just held one.

Capacities are the same, but the sizes and weights are a little different.

Might have to wait to see if they come out with a .40 in that size,

Thanks for the heads up though.

I bet it is nice, even going down a notch from the full size is a big improvement to carry and there is still two more notches.

Some people bag on them, and I own other brands and like them too, they are just hard to beat though and I like the simplicity of them for my wife as well.

If the kid who was thrown at was allowed to go bust the other kid in the nose and not get in trouble, he wouldn't need a rock to throw back. I still can't figure out why the hell you come into a thread that is obviously about guns if you are against them so much.

I am not against guns, I am against unregulated guns. I do not understand why you law abiding citizens are agains gun control, it would not affect you, only some of the people that should not have guns. I can understand if you would not pass a background check, if you would not pass a test etc that you would be against gun control, but I think most of you gun owners on here would still be able to own your guns, so I can not se the draw back really?

Why are you assuming I'm against gun control? And what are you trying to prove by posting lame posters and dorky videos?

Trying to understand our culture when it comes to guns is like trying to figure out what the issue is with the Palestinians and the Israelis.

I am actually pro gun.and enjoy target shooting a lot. At this point there are so many guns in our country that criminals won't abide by gun control laws so our best tactic in my opinion is to have more security at public places.

An imperfect world calls for an imperfect solution.

I haven't hadn't any issues with my shield jamming thankfully. My dad has the G42 and I love it, but you can't shoot cheap ammo otherwise it jams up constantly which sucks when you just want to target shoot. I haven't had the chance to shoot the 43 yet though. I'm sure with the bigger round it doesn't jam like the .380. I'm a huge glock fan though, I love my 21, 22 and 26.

The first 42's had a rep for jamming with poor ammo. My wifes 42 would shoot any cheap walmart ammo. I dont like .380, but it's a fun gun to shoot. Recently, the 43 is always in the pocket or truck. Got a sweet Alabama holster for it.

Where you're at the public will defend your right. Here, if I get attacked by 12 black dudes & pull my 45, I am going to Jail, they will fight tooth & nail to have me jailed, I will be called racist, blamed for starting the encounter & unless I can find a group of witnesses on my side I will be going to prison. It's a frightening choice in some states to defend yourself & or just let the attack happen

No laws, no controls, no drum circles, NOTHING, is going to stop a crazy hell bent on killing or hurting people. Those arguing gun laws wouldn't affect law abiding citizens need to read, learn. Cities with the toughest guns laws, highest murder rates & crime. In the UK there was a 50 percent increase in homocides after gun laws went into affect in 1997 I believe. Only did they begin to fall was when they almost doubled the size of the police force. What use is a gun here if the law is force you to keep it in a safe at all times like in Australia.

How are you going to defend your family with a gun in a safe? You think a crazy without a gun is going to stop? He will just learn how to build something else to kill. Notice how none of these attacks happen outside of gun free zones? Everyone of them has been in a gun free zone or military base where soldiers are not allowed to carry. In theory it sounds great to ban people with mental issues with having a gun.

But what dictates who has mental issues? Everything you go to the doctor for is up loaded to a computer system & all your records are in one easy spot for them to go through. Life insurance has access to this same data base as well. Ever take an anti depressant? Slight bi polar but not crazy? Political targeting? We haven't seen abuse of that through our IRS have we? Criminals will still have access to lots of guns. Most are buying illegal weapons the general public cannot buy unless black market. Has any law stopped them yet?

Colorado is not bad when it comes to "Make my day laws" but no "stand your ground law" Colorado also has some protection if you use deadly force to protect your property.

I never said property, I was rather clear in I was talking about defending yourself on the streets. And in your unedited post you mention not may states have make my day? 24 do, thats almost half. And all states have The Castle Doctrine". Look it up, in all states it reasonable to protect property & family with deadly force. You also totally misunderstood the post which is why I assume you edited. I was not arguing our stand your ground law, I was arguing the political climate & what would happen if you shot on the streets right now.

I have a fire extinguisher, bottles of water, blankets, jumper cables, tools, oil, an LED mag light, and some food all stored in the back of my 4Runner in case of any sort emergency I may encounter on the road.

Am I paranoid for my safety any time I get in my car? No. Just prepared for a rainy day. I've never had to use any of it besides my jumper cables to help other people out from time to time or a quick snack if me hungy.

I legitimately do not see the difference with carrying a gun.

Glock 23 at all times and have the 870 Express ready to go in the house. Even if I miss, an intruder would be deaf afterwards.

Where did you get your numbers?

British Murders 1996 - 584 , '97 - 650, '98 - 629,,, 2012 - 550

Police officer numbers stay pretty steady from the early eighties until 2000 at roughly 120,000.

If you're basing all your arguments on incorrect facts perhaps your conclusions are as wrong?

What I did notice when looking at gun deaths in the U.S. was that 61% were suicides, so perhaps the person you have to be most worried about with a gun is yourself !
