With AMart leaving to join the Star Yamaha crew, could Jimmy D take that spot for '16 and further? He's been riding well up north on Yamaha, so it could work well.

Title is misleading.

But I think he would be a good fit.

Decotis is definitely deserving but I see it going to an amateur coming out of Lorettas.

No worries man.

But good topic, will be interesting to see if they move one of their AM guys up or sign someone like Jimmy D.

Saw on Instagram that he followed Cycle Trader's page so it got me thinking about a possible connection. I think his improved results in Canada are linked to being on a structured team rather than having to deal with it all as a privateer.

Are these your private thoughts, or is there some speculation or rumor going around on this?

Ok,let's look at the facts: jimmy d is on a Yamaha,he is a privateer in the states, and he can be in the top 10 SX any day of the week, he is proven. Now, who is coming out of ll this year?

My own thoughts. Even with the addition of a LL prospect like others have mentioned, that would leave them with Renzland and rookie X = not a strong lineup. Decotis could serve well to boost their team with top 10's or more.

Whos Bloss?

I thought Jimmy D's success this year is due to him commiting to training and being prepared, not partying? I like what hes done this year and I hope he lands on a good American squad for next year.

Where is ARod headed? He's done really well on the Yamaha and would appear to have more upside potential than Jimmy, notwithstanding ARod's recent misfortunes.

Jimmy has definitely made improvements in the areas you mention, since taking a hiatus from the Nats last season, after a dismal start. He realizes that he has to make the most of every opportunity at this point in his career, and would be a great addition to any team, IMO.

Being a privateer last year during supercross, decotis didn't have enough time to train. He literally wasn't fit enough to get to the top. But now with his factory ride in Canada he has more time to train and do other things top riders do. If he can get a factory ride, or even factory help, then I think he is a title contender

Need to spread the love more in the amateur ranks and groom a kid like the other teams are doing.

You know what I love about Jimmy D, even more than his Lieutenant Dan story–Which is compulsory all time listening fucking hilariousness for any MX fan...

He's working–always–and is brutally honest with himself and fans about his desire and need to improve. All his interviews he talks about training more, sorting it out, getting better. Love his attitude, he's had some opportunities but has more in store. Massive Jimmy D fan.

On pulp he said he's running a Yamaha no matter what next year, That'd be nice for him to at least get on good equipment.

Looks like SC196 was right on the money with this one...good call.

According to RacerX's silly season article from yesterday.

CycleTrader.com/Rock River Yamaha
#71 Kyle Partridge 450SX
#46 Luke Renzland 250SX
#58 Jimmy Decotis 250SX
Notes: While the team hopes to have all three riders under the tent next year, they were quick to let us know that at this point, no contracts have been signed. They’re also looking at adding a fourth, undisclosed rider.

He has been great to watch in Aus aboard a Honda at the opening two rounds of supercross here.

Seems like a really nice genuine guy. Get to shoot him in my home city this weekend!

Im pretty sure that the Cycle Trader rides are riding for free, bonus only. While they had a bit of success AMart last year they don't really have much to boast about in terms of success or being some high level program that can or will pay riders enough to work there.

Decotis is not interested in gaining attention and recognition at this point in his career, he's needing to make a living.
