Would a 10T press work for 85cc crankshaft rebuild?

It is more important to have a stout fixture to press the crank. If you have any flex in your fixture, the tonnage will be reduced and you also will have issues with getting it apart and pressing it together true.

What do you plan on using?

That press won't be versatile enough to do what you need.

If you are going to get into crank rebuilding seriously, you need to watch this video below and invest in similar tools to do the job right

If you are just working on your own cranks here and there, you're better off paying a reputable shop to do the crank work. You'll still save a ton of money working on the rest of the engine yourself.

Crank building is tricky. You either get it right and the engine runs reliably, or you get it wrong and out of true and you're constantly rebuilding the motor. It takes a bit of practice to get really good at trueing a crank.

Your measuring equipment and methods are more important than the press. If you don't have calipers, dial indicators and bases, vee blocks and or a truing stand, wedges, a lead hammer etc., it is way cheaper to have someone reputable do it for you.

I realize that but I am planning to build this up. We have an 85SX and 105SX, consequently I have have 4 damaged cranks to mess with. If I can find a press which will do the job I will start figuring out the procedure and pick up the required tolls i.e. v-blocks/guages/brass hammer etc.My plan is to learn the technique and before installing a crank I will have it checked by a pro.
