Well I just completed my 4th day. I finally got used to the Bupropion.

The patch is working great. And when I feel that urge to smoke, I just say...

I used to smoke, Yep, I used to smoke, Then carry on with what I was doing.

It all seems to be going pretty well and I already feel better.

Here's what convinced me to keep it up. I wasn't riding at the time but I did try to play basketball. I played after two weeks of not smoking. I thought i would die. I did it again after about two months. The difference was enough in that short amount of time to convince me. I think it's been about 10 years now.

Good luck and do it one day at a time.

Since you got used to it and no longer have any side effects...I would keep taking the Zyban at the same time each day and don't get slack early on and think "I've got this" and don't need it. Follow through with the program duration and taper off when you're ready...just like it took some time getting used to it when you started the same can apply when getting off. You may be able to stop taking it without any effects at all. But if you taper off instead of quitting all at once you will for sure not have any. It's an antidepressant no matter how it's labeled and needs to be treated as such. It absolutely does work for smoking cessation in a lot of people...worked for me.

I find that smoking weed is the best way to quit anything. Want to stop smoking cigarettes? Fire up a doobie. Need to cut back on your crack consumption? Spark a J. Smoking too much PCP? light a spliff. Need to stop boning transvestite hookers? Weed won't help that. You will have to go to one of castor oil's trannyaholic anonymous meetings. It worked for him, just 3 relapses in the last couple of weeks. He's even thinking about switching to full on "natural" women. Or at least post-op...
