Just got back into riding again after 13 years away from it. Myself and a friend are planning on going to Highpoint and racing. Where can I find info on Amateur day? Is it still the day after the pros? I know we need an AMA card but what one do we need? Is there any info out there on classes and maybe even a schedule for practice, etc.?

Sunday, June 14th: PAMX Thor Spring Series presented by Dunlop

Don't think you need to have a AMA card, but rather a PAMX member. Not much info on their website http://www.gopamx.com/ but there is an email address info@gopamx.com

I did find that page but it seems like every link on the page sends you to the same "Highpoint National" page that only shows info on the pro national. I've found basically nothing about Sunday.

Amateur day practice is Friday, pro national race Saturday and pamx race on Sunday, I'll be there I'm pretty sure.

Sunday after the national and you will need a AMA card and a PAMX membership. You may be able to buy a one day pass for PAMX.

Is there a list of the classes out yet or is it too early?

Can't seem to find much info even on the pamx site. I found the classes but no mention of any type of schedule. If practice is on Friday. When friday? Can we buy our ama and pamx memberships there? Or do we have to do it all before we go?

Practice is on Friday and racing is Sunday. Yes you can buy your AMA and PAMX memberships when you sign up. If you do not plan on doing anymore PAMX races you can even just buy a one day pass.

Practice usually starts in the morning on Friday. Just like a typical local race practice day. I can't find exact times for you but I would guess 9 or 10. There is also practice before racing on Sunday but only 1 round.

Friday is AM racing this year at High Point (not practice, like years prior). Practice starts at 8 am. An AMA card is required for Friday racing, an AMA and PAMX card is required for Sunday racing. You will be able to purchase memberships at the track. (this is all I got from calling last week)
