I was just wondering what others on here thought of the access to the track. And also the road out?

We arrived both days at about 7am & we had to wait in a field (30 mins on Sat, 5 on Sunday) because we was told the gates weren't open yet. I thought that was strange, I would've thought the gates would open at about 6.30. Access was pretty easy, just up an unmade road. Nothing to bad. Getting out was easy on Saturday but Sunday it took about 30 mins, bit of a free for all.

What was your thoughts then?

Arrived at 10.00 on Friday evening, clearly signed, easy access on gravel road, 5 mins at ticket booths and we were in, parked the Crafter on the Family site and had two quiet nights. Took us 20-30 mins to get out after last emx250 race on pretty much the same road we went in on. Thought that part of it was great, racing was awesome too, we had a mega weekend.
Just watching what I Sky+ live recorded though..... Oh dear, very poor coverage, cameras barely ready when mx2 started, nearly missed the pass at the end of the moto and keep getting a black screen during 2nd mxgp moto at the moment!!!

Thought the event was well organised but I thought the in road was really bad. Compared to Hawkestone international It was poor. Loads of people with punctures because of the stones.

We watched it on TV when we got home and I agree the camera work was appalling. Really great track for viewing live though. It's a shame it's not used a lot more

Camera angles make it look like 2/3 thousand people when it was nearer 20,000... Not sure how they have managed it?

What was your highlight of the day. I was absolutely gobsmacked at Herlings speed late in race 1

That 1st MX2 race was incredible. In the last 5 mins, Herlings seemed to go up a gear. You just had to applaud his performance.

Definitely not a highlight but when Conrad Mewes jumped the triple under waved yellow flags. God knows why he did because the lap before he doubled. As soon as he did that, I turned to my friends and said, he'll be docked 10 places for that move and he was.

I thought the road was fine. Worse than what you'd see in some places, but not unmanageable. I arrived at about half 9 on Sunday morning, and the queue was down the gravel track and out along the dual carriage way for a fair bit. I cycled though, so I just nipped along the side of the gravel track. One of the few times cycling is better than driving - overtaking cars stood still!

I wondered if anyone would suffer from those stones

The whole weekend was brilliantly organised.......... but the access has to improve..... they need to turn those tracks into roads and they need to have more than just 1 exit out which is nothing more than a farmer's private lane.............

to put it into perspective it took me 90 minutes to travel 95 miles and get home.... and 2 hours before that to move 100 yards

Either The first mx2 battle, especially the one from last lap or Guillod holding off Herlings in 2nd moto. It was also good to have pit access on Sat eve, not just penned in the funfair this year, love watching the mechanics work.
