How do we feel about Matterly Basin as a race track.

Fucking airtime. Sheesh.

Probably not the best day for Max.
But the keeps red plate
Following race tracks will suit him better than Matterly

I think Desalle is still pissed over that restart

Ok, now that we are near the middle of season, i think it's pretty clear that they changed tracks prep too much compared to earlier seasons, and for the worse... I mean, what the fuck, Matterley Basin is a huge track with beautiful natural terrain, and still there were only one or two very good lines... Cairoli was right, tracks are flatter, much less technical, you can't make a difference, all are very close performance wise, passing is very difficult, crystalized positions, looks like F1...

Every race has been awesome, I am now sitting in the rain waiting for EMX250 to kick off.. Sterry for the win and overall.. One of the best gp's for a long time. And every one this year has been awesome.

I think if you're there as a spectator, then you can see the whole circuit and it's good. However there are other circuits I enjoy watching more on tv though. But still - great venue overall, no doubt. Wish the general public could get on it a bit more, I believe it's pretty much closed the rest of the time due to noise complaints....

I think it's an awesome track. There is a lot of airtime you're right, but there is also a few flat old-school corners which are awesome. A good barometer of how good a race track is, is how good the racing is, and this weekend the racing was incredible.

Steve Dixon (Organiser of the GP at Matterley Basin and owner of DRT Kawasaki) announced at the track today that they've had the go ahead to run the MXoN at Matterley again in 2018 or 2019, which would be awesome. The last time it was there in '06 was one of the best weekends of MX I can remember

Hey Dutch guy`s! Why was Pootjes DQ from second race? He came through the pack and got 9th, but results page shows him 39th.

Herlings: "I joked with him that only a few years ago I lapped him twice but now he's beaten me twice; he rode really well."

Nicolas Dercourt, Magne Klingsheim, Alvin Ostlund and Davy Pootjes all cut the track.

Didn't Klingsheim and Östlund crash out togheter and DNF'd? Or did they get DQ'd too?

Awesome race,Febvre is getting better and better, looks like there could well be a lot more like him coming from MX2 Tonkov being an obvious 450 guy

Yeah think so too. Because Klingsheim and Östlund crashed on the second or third lap and I think neither went on after that

In fairness there was quite a few guys using a bit more of the track than they probably should have done in the second MXGP race. Track markers were being knocked down and not replaced so they just kept cutting more and more of the track off. In the first start of the first race Rattray rode all the way down the grass on the first lap and made 5-6 places

youre comparing a single race of Tomac on that track with todays level of MXGP ?? like i said , Herlings beat RV in MXDN , so is it fair to say he would win his first year in AMA in dominating style ?? .... see , doesnt make any sense in my opinion .... Alessi was lapping 5 sec slower as top 5 , every single lap .... so to be around the top 20 was his best today ......so the GP boys these days are very fast , dont forget that there are 18 riders in MXGP wo have won a GP ..... when was the last race Alessi won on USA ground? Alessi in top 10 would be really good for him , but as expected he wasnt there ......
