haha...i saw that vid on the expn.com blog too. Deegans famous ghost ride.

he sure did beat some really good guys at the time: Windham, Vuillemin, Reynard, Pingree...

what stood out to me in that vid was Reynard on a Honda? Didn't he turn pro and go to factory Kawasaki and then factory Suzuki? I didn't remember him on Team Honda?

"greatest podium speech ever", not so sure about that, I think some of Preston's would rank up at the top. Laughing

Travis Preston gave the best speech I've ever heard "I was out there riding around....had no idea what place I was in......."

At the Denver Arenacross back in about 95 or 96, The announcer asked the winner of the 50cc half time race if he wanted a kiss from the Trophy Girl. The kid replied. . . . . "If she can handle it!"

You know his father was in the stadium going, "That's MY Son!"

That was good racing. 4 strokes killed the sound of motocross.

I was at that race. My jaw hit the floor when Deegan launched his bike. I was bummed...I was a big Windham fan.

Preview of things to come for Reynard also, dropping the anchor. That guy had should have had some titles with his speed and style.

My favorite podium speech is from Damon Bradshaw at the Miami SX (125 class) when he crashed like 3 times and still came back to win, all he said was, "Its feels good to win with dirt on my number plate"

Was it Ryno that said, "I came here to kick ass and chew bubble gum, and I'm all out of bubble gum"
