I have one I'm thinking of buying, always wanted one as a kid when I grew up racing. Does anyone on here have a connection that has parts for them? Plastics, clutch case cover, clutch perch and lever, seat, possibly a top end kit (or even the larger 83cc motor).

If I remember correctly someone else did one on here a couple of years ago. Keep searching. I'm sure it will turn up.

Yeah, there was. The problem IIRC was the clutch covers on these rot and there is a guy on the east coast (?) who had a hoard of the remaining part here in the States. Mr. Hoarder was eccentric deluxe and difficult to reach which was why the poster had opened up a thred here -- looking for the parts.

I recall Dirt Rider magazine in mid-'85 talking about the upcoming KTM 80 and lightweight four-stroke projects. The 4t became the LC4 and the '86 KTM was super-trick but had some difficulty breaking into the market dominated by Honda and Kawie. Because of limited acceptance, the KTM 80 is hard to locate parts for.

What a difference a few decades make, with the KTM SXS models dominating mini events and a stranglehold on amateur racing at the highest levels. $6K for a mini is still mind bending.

Pretty sure I'm buying the same bike from the old posts. I have already contacted the Austrian contact and tried calling the hoarder in Mobile, AL but I think he accidentally hung up on me?? Lol

My dad is coming to visit in TX next week and the following weekend he is going to visit some relatives in Mobile, AL so I'm hoping to get a visit set up and try to get some parts from him.
