Last GP there we had almost a whole area of the Camping area to ourselves, very poor turnout but easy to get around and see all the action plus visiting old friends in the paddock

Plus an XL Dozer to go with that Mercedes.

Should be a Kickass event along with the GP.

I'm not sure all that stuff was really worth a video, but hey, to each their own.

Yeah video was a bit lame, but at least they are trying. As long as a track is trying to improve I give them credit! Good for them!

The facility improvements are welcome, just leave the track alone, European style, no manicured easy stuff needed.

Anyone know if they're planning on opening the rem side for nationals?

Glen Helen is an awesome track and it's great to have it back in the GP calendar. I hope they use the back hills on the paddock side again, that used to be a really cool section

Tom loves his motorcycles and this sport that's for sure, were lucky to have passionate people like him around that have influence.
As far as improvements, kinda lame, but its Glen Helen and who cares, core track and no BS!
If you want a stadium experience go to one.
Cant wait for to Great Outdoors!

They will not due to the increase of lap times beyond 2 minutes when REM is used.....least that was the reason why it wasn't used last year

No it was not me on the Gold Wing. And like Rock said it is because of TV we don't use the REM side. It cost for more cameras to cover it. As far as lap times they ask this of every track, similar to what the have at the GP's. As for a part Tom said about bathrooms we have only made one new set of bathrooms in the last couple years but they are nice. Hope you all still come and enjoy it. And remember its not the work of just one person its 2 teams, MX Sports and The Glen Helen Crew.

Off topic. Does anyone know if Van Halen played at Glen Helen in 83?

This video says Glen Helen.

Van Halen played the US Festival at the Pavillion that is on the backside of the Glen Helen property in 1983.
