Ha Ha, had to slip that one in there. Tongue

In a few days from now Honda will unveil their CRF250 Rally concept bike at the upcoming Osaka Motorcycle Show in Japan.

Honda-CRF250 Rally-02
A CRF250 Rally is in the works...

Very much a concept bike for now, the CRF250 Rally is essentially a CRF250L with bodywork and styling based on the official HRC rally bikes as used by Joan Barreda and company.

Never designed to be a serious race tool, the CRF250L features a steel chassis and produces around 20bhp and weighs something in the region of 144.5kg when full of fuel.

We don't have much more in the way of details, only that rally veteran Canadian Patrick Trahan raced a modified CRF250L in last year’s Merzouga Rally.

Very nice!

The forks are worth more than the whole bike...

They've done well with the looks department but the rest of the package screams overrated. 250L motor in an agricultural skeleton dressed up as a high class hooker. Why not take the R motor, make it bullet proof and work with that, it alone would decrease weight by almost 10kgs and increase reliable horsepower by 50%.

I like the idea but something went horrible wrong when they decided the power-to-weight ratio........144kg and 20 HP? Blink

I'll go out on a limb and say they're open chamber forks with an anodizing treatment a very similar colour as the latest works gear. That is unless that by virtue of mass production it's cheaper to stick in a st of twin chamber forks.
