Thinking if they reuse the dirt from year to year, what happens to all the tear-offs on the track? I would think that when they re-work the track in between races, that the tear-offs would get buried under the dirt? I don't remember seeing anyone picking up tear-offs between races. The tracks always look tear-off free on press day/first practice. Just wondering.

I see them at the local big amateur races, because I usually walk the track, picking them up.
I seen them at freestone state championship having kids walking around bagging them up but I can't speak for the Pro races.

They must try to half ass pick them all up.

They are a bit of a problem but are a necessary evil.

Roll-off's would serve essentially the same purpose and contain the waste. The GP's I believe are using them and they aren't allowed roll-offs. It's either coming, or in effect. I don't remember which.

God please delete this thread asap before some liberal from epa lobbies a bill through congress to ban these plastic things in lieu of the environment. Or OBAMA might write another executive order.

I've seen flyers for off road events that explicitly stated no tear offs allowed. Makes a lot of sense for events on public land.

Are there Liberals from the EPA that ride? I would think that would be an immediate dismissal from their position if someone ever found out! Laughing

Ever wonder why there are so many French bulldogs at the races? They love tear-offs. You should see when they unleash a whole herd of them onto the track after the stadium has been cleared. It's a feeding frenzy.

I have wondered that. I assumed fashion dogs were a socal thing that came with flat bill hats and tall black socks.

I've heard of a really nice track that a fast guy has in Florida: NO TEAR OFFS!

Funny.
