I am taking my 3yr old son to the race this Saturday and was considering getting pit passes for us. I assume that there is no age limit for entry. I am hoping to make it enjoyable enough for him that he will want to go back for years to come. Has anybody else done this with a young child? Is it worth the money? He enjoys helping me work on my bike and I think him getting to see the semis and bikes would be a blast for him. Thanks.

No brainer, he'll have the time of his life and sleep like a rock sat night. I was around that age when my parents took me to my first race, a Trans USA or Trams Am event in Peperrel, MA. I actually have vague memories of the day, bright blue skies, green grass and lots of cool sounds.

I was unaware that you could do that. All I need is an empty can and we walk in?? That would be awesome. Do I need 2?

Sounds like we will be having some fun Redrider_714... I'm taking my soon to be 3 year old son(Turns 3 April 1st) to Metlife. We got the Rockstar Racing hospitality passes. My boy is pumped about it.

He'll love it and you should have no concerns about what is acceptable for a 3 yr old. I think they got rid of the rockstar girls a few years back, lol, other than that all the girls are dressed to a decent standard (when they were at STL a few years back, man alive, I like naked woman but holy cow, not much left to the imagination). Pits get busy, I see a lot of parents with those baby bungy cords but other than that no worries.

Also if you get your tickets from a Yamaha dealer, you get a free pit pass. Or you can just bring a monster can.

I say he should be fine. I'm taking my 10 year old niece and the pits is her favorite part.

I wish I could borrow a 3 year old for an event like that. They pull more ass than a box full of puppies.

I go to the STL SX every year with my dad and brother but my wife has been watching the past couple seasons with me and showed interest in going this year as well. I decided to buy tickets to Indy for us and also bring our 6 year old son and 4 year old daughter.

Where are the pits located at in Indy? Also, does anyone have confirmation that you can just bring in Monster cans?

So is it true that you can use a Monster Energy can to gain access to the pits?

He's three, his only acknowledgement will be the pictures. Have fun explaining why the slut with the green claw'd leather bra had her tongue in his ear to his grandparents.

Wait till he's 6. I took my 4 1/2yr old granddaughter to Minneapolis ... all she remembers were the 8 dollar chocolate covered strawberries. Pinch

No matter what have fun... that place is awesome. Go early during practice and beg your way to the upper upper seats then walk up to the rafters. The vertigo will make you instantly puke.

The kid will love it and pass out on your lap before the semis. It's a win-win.
