Your asking the wrong question. With A. Baker in his corner, RD5 would be better than past RD5? The answer is a reassuring YES. We have no idea if RD5 would beat RV. Why would RV fire A Baker..... he still uses his program

There's no doubt in my mind RD#5's at his best ATM. But Tongue , if you take notice of how well that bike's hooking up and railing the turns you can clearly see It's a Team effort. The bike, and rider are very well dialled in ATM. As a Team, they're killing it. AB's just another good asset to a good and very well run Team.

"A tradesman's work will only ever be as good as the tools he's provided with to do the Job". ATM, RD's got the best tool box in the paddock.

Would be a shit hot race to see though wouldn't it. I wouldn't even be willing to place a bet myself.

New bike or new trainer???
That bike is the best I've ever seen. Every where on the track, it has no obvious weaknesses. The thing hooks up like a Top Fuel Dragster.

I'm NOT arguing that AB has not made a difference. ( At this point, feel free to take a second to let that sink in).
Yesterday's race was very evidential that AB is making a difference IMO.
I'm just not willing to give AB the "Lions share of the pie" as far as team credit goes. As a lot of people are inclined to do on here.
I won't hold it against them and I'll just assume most on here haven't played Team sports.

My answer to your question is, Great Team and great bike. Again "A tradesmen's work is only as good as his tools".......... blah, blah, blah
Sorry in advance if it wasn't a multiple choice question.

The argument that AB has made all the difference is Illogical. Free Tip!. It can not be won.

The bike, fitness and mental strength, the riding and the strategy ,especially the way he switched his strategy mid race were all a stand out in RD's win to me yesterday.
I do think he should have switched strategy a lap or two earlier though. He may've got the message on the Pit board. He left his championship aspirations at risk for way too long IMO. It very easily could have ended badly for him.
But the old RD of previous yrs may've backed off rather than stepping it up a gear and charging to get clear of the pack like he did. That was Impressive.
I got immense pleasure out of watching him ride those whoops!

Plenty of syrup with that waffle, I may've laid it on a bit thick.

Of course not, you're just arguing to argue.

I used to be like you. Liked to pull everyone's chain. I still do and find it hard not to at times, especially in a JS7 man love thread, or a Justin Barcia thread, because I can't stand JB. But I have even backed way off on that.

you should lighten up 991, you don't have to win every thread

I've sitting here LMAO. How much more would you like me to lighten up?

Fair to say you have me worked out Wink . All in fun though. I don't have a Dog in the fight.

BTW. I like Justin Barcia. Surprised? Tongue .

Wet long weekend this week, Boredom got the better of me. I'll be back in my box by tomorrow.

Yes, 1st race was a disaster, 2nd race was much better, but 2nd moto you could literally tell RV was spent and had nothing for AC & CD! When was the last time that happened, especially after RV got a 4th place start? FYI, RV had more time this year to get ready and be in shape for a series than any other time in his career!
Yes, when have you ever seen RV drop anchor so to speak (for him anyway). The only time I remember is when he had the shits in the second moto at Bud's Creek a few years back. Something is amiss.

what am i saying thats offensive to anyone? that aldon helps make a rider just that little bit better? maybe they just shouldnt train at all then, since being the fittest rider is apparently irrelevant... this isnt the 80's or 90's. you cant dominate on natural talent alone anymore.

pity. you couldnt think of anything that actually supports your point, so you have to resort to just saying im wrong..

Your post suggested I was being offensive to the riders. I simply pointed out the Irony in that statement.

I don't have to think of a point when I can use yours against you Laughing

You obviously can't comprehend my comments as they were Intended, therefore. your opinion on them is. Wrong.

Isn't he just the ultimate "hanger on?"

Sign up with the fastest riders in the world that are already dominating. Burn them out and leave them when they begin to fade and then he signs up with the next superstar?

Seems to me anyone he has ever worked with were champions and were going to be champions regardless of they worked with AD or Richard Simmons

Yep. it was mentioned earlier. "AB's a victim of his own success". If anything. And as mentioned earlier as well. He's a victim of RC's success rather than his own.

I'm Gob Smacked that a PT has a fan club. I can see it now. "Teach me how to Baker".

lol. what?.. your right i cant comprehend your post, because they dont make any sense. but your an aussie, so its not surprising. ahaha..

your post was offensive to riders. your saying there trainer/ riding coach, who they obviously believe in, is worthless. so where the irony in my statement? and since you somehow think thats ironic (must not know what the word means?) that i said that, would imply that something that i said is somehow offensive to the rest of the team? how?

and your using my point against me? i must have missed that part of the post?

but im sure your next post will just be more of the same nonsense, saying how im wrong, but not having any explanation as to why.

Here's a small example of your comprehension skills. Where did I say AB is worthless?

By you giving AB the Lions share of the credit for any of those mentioned riders successes is offensive to the rest of the teams. That would be the Irony in your claims that what I'm saying is offensive to the riders.

Would it be clearer to you if I post that in American?

me saying he gives just that little bit extra to a rider, means hes getting the lions share of the credit?

thats what my original post was saying. is that no one is giving AB the "lions share" you just for some reason think thats what people are saying. hes just a small percentage of what makes these guys so successful.

and if you dont think that AB is worthless, then you agree with the rest of us.

What a dip shit you are. Magic potion? Try structure, Discipline and believing you can. Aldon brings alot more than diet and exercise.

It could also be that every rider that seeks Aldon already wants to take their career to the next level, they already had their mind made up and he helps them achieve it. Probably not going to half ass it, after spending 200K on a trainer.

There are millions of trainers that understand nutrition, fitness and mental strength, so it seems odd that he would stand out from the pack. He must have some type of unique approach.

Side note: The person that would greatly improve from his program is Weston Pieck in my opinion. If that dude hooked up with Baker he would be podium every race.
I was just thinking that today. Peick needs to get with Aldon.

I'm guessing you wouldn't have mentioned WP if you couldn't see the obvious Improvement he's making already. Still getitng over an Injury Isn't he?

I'd bet you'll see WP win an outdoors race or even maybe several, with or without AB's help.
Hmmm...so you consider running elite speed for 8-12 laps...then blowing up and dropping 4s a lap "just fine"? That is exactly what is happening to WP since coming back. Of course, a lot of it may be due to his time off the bike, but I can not recall seeing a rider run elite speed for the first time in his career...and then suffer and drop back so much at the end of motos from what clearly looks like physical limitations. He literally slowed 4s a lap at Daytona....it was like flipping a switch. He blew up....

I will take that bet outdoors.

Do you always just make stuff up to make a point. "RV had more time to get ready and be in shape for a series any other time
in his career." He wasn't even cleared to be on a bike until Oct-Nov and you don't have a clue in what shape his knee was
in at that time. He never started working with his new team or bike until January He hadn't raced since May in supercross and
hadn't raced outdoors since 2013. He is coming into this series about as unprepared as he ever has and his rustiness shows.
He will be ok in the MXGP series and he will learn how it works and I have no doubt, barring injury, he will win this Championship, As for Aldon Baker, knowledge and integrity that commands the best of his athletes that stay with his program,
magic potions not so much.

I consider Improving each race as doing just fine. His endurance will Improve. You think it would be worth risking his progress by changing things up?
I'm sure there were many fitter riders that finished well behind him. A major part of the battle is being able to run at that speed. Full Stop. Again. I'm sure there would have been physically fitter riders in the field that couldn't.

His pre-seasoned preparation suffered, only natural his racing season would as well at this early stage.

You don't think Buddy is doing good work with him already?

There Isn't a riders name that's mentioned on this forum that gets as much knob polishing and praise as AB does on a consistent basis . A personal trainer. Yeah, I'm the one trippin. Fan Boyz with a Man Crush.

He gets as much as any rider is willing to give him! He obviously asks too much from some. If he was as good as everyone thinks he wouldn't.

RC's results made his career. He got lucky. RC put him in a position to work with the best in the business. No fucking shock he gets good results from good riders. Can't comprehend that either yall?

How often do you hear RC praising and raving on about AB like you queers do? And he created the "Legend".

When was the last time that happened, especially after RV got a 4th place start? FYI, RV had more time this year to get ready and be in shape for a series than any other time in his career!

Good to see you here Uncle.

Don't pay attention to guys like Rcm......just another butt hurt Stewart fan. Still looks for any way possible to slam RV when he has a chance. Mean while , back in Florida.....his boy is sitting on the couch with a suspension.

Seriously....what ground does he have to stand on here? There is none....so butthurt fans like himself garb at straws because their weak little minds can't comprehend the reality of the situation.

Side note.....I've known Rcm to put up some good bench racing replies in threads , but he lets the Fantard part of himself show through every once in a while.

Funny you mention WP. I was thinking about him while posting. And this is what I thought. From where I'm sitting. Looks like WP is doing just fine as he is.

@startedtolate.......bud you are kinda wrong on this. Weston dealt with two injuries back to back which made it almost impossible for him to do his normal cardio routine. That is his main issue right now. He's basically racing himself back into shape. The strength is there ( who would doubt that...seriously? )....but you know as well as I ....cardio plays a huge role in this sport.

Mods....why is this thread even here? A blatant thread to accuse riders of doping. And bear in mind..... all started by a typical fanatrd of " you know who ". But yet it's ok to slam others riders and their trainer who were never found guilty of anything.

!00% agree. Uptite likes to work with " what if's " ......there are NO " what if's " in this sport....you either do it , or don't. Funny how you can say this shit uptite.....you ever have the courage to walk up to one of the guys like RC , or RV , or even Dungey....and tell them they are getting 2nd best? Your opinion on this means absolutely nothing. There is no merit to your argument at all.....no matter how much you think there is. Jonny is an American badass as far as a rider goes.....but for training guys to win championships........he knows exactly jack shit as far as his record goes. Sorry if that hurts your feeling.

Seems to me more like UpTITE hurt your feelings Jeffro Laughing

I'll admit though. AB's far from silly. If I could ride through life on someone else's coat tails and accomplishments. I'd do it to

It it just a coincidence?

James/AB split - results immediately suffer
Kroc/AB split - results immediately suffer
RV/AB split - results immediately suffer

Dungey/AB join up - Dungey starts dominating!
RV's results immediately suffer? Compared to what? He has not raced MXGPs before and we are two races in.
This^

they are still together anyway lol

Aldon gives them mental strength more than physical. I don`t know what he says, but it clearly works.

Post a reply to: Aldon Baker - Dude has some serious magic potion!
