Everts isn't the manager of either class is he, he is race program director or some weird title - he gets to be the dog in KTM and have others doing his duty- pretty sure he earned that benefit along the way somewhere.

And yes of course KTM will want him up - they will earn even more kudos and even more bike sales with JH stepping up and ultimately taking over from AC, this said it makes absolutely NO sense to have moved him up any sooner regardless what people say.
Plus Everts made a step backward toward his investment with KTM for 2015 cause he wants to take care of his son Liam who wants to be a pro rider.

Herlings is a big fish in a small pond, if he ever came here, he would be a small fish in a big pond... that no one can argue with......wait...this is Vital, never mind.

The problem with that is that you're assuming that there's no competition in MX2 because Herlings dominates. It's like me saying that there's no competition in 250 nationals because Martin domimated. That said I will admit that there is probably more depth in the 250 class in the states at the moment, but I don't see that the guys finishing 2nd, 3rd and 4th over there are any better than the guys finishing 2nd, 3rd and 4th over here

If Herlings went to the US on a 250 he'd be the same size fish in the same size pond as he is over here IMO

Thing is he's already beaten A LOT of your "big fish" and then some

He's faster now too

Wait and see what tonus does outdoors and then talk about the pond.
The only comparison you have right now is that the Martin brothers didnt do that well against the mx2 noobs in latvia.

I finally agree with you on something. Herlings is the fastest person I've ever seen with my own eyes and I think he is underrated massively by some.

As far as the whole RV vs AC battle goes, I'm really not sure which way it will go. If you were to choose anyone who could beat AC for a title then it would be RV, and vice versa. It's going to be an incredible fight

Yep the dirt of the Moià track is not the best, very rocky. I think he rides in the most hardpack ones intentionally because he hasn't riden in any of the loamy ones like Olvan or Bellpuig. Also it just snowed here last week and the dirt is still frozen.
This is not southern Spain, that track is almost in the Pirynees!
Wow, that could pass for California really easy.

The boy is stupidly fast, I have only seen him ride once but it was a real eye opener. He made the likes of Simpson/ Searle look average and you guys know as well as me they are not.

I hope Jeffrey goes to USA to ride but at this stage I think because of his attitude he needs to stay where he is in the Mx2.

Herlings is special but until he regularly proves himself against the very best riders on surfaces other than deep sand I really don't think you can say he's the fastest.

He may have beaten RV in France in 2011, but he also lost to Paulin in that race. So that wasn't the best of indications as far as Im concerned. It simply proved he had the skill to beat top riders and the potential to be one of the very best in the future.

Unless RV wins the World Championship I don't think you can single out one single rider as being THE best in the world anyway.

I sort of agree, although I think he can be considered as more than just a sand specialist now, he's really started to transfer that speed onto all surfaces. I know beating who he has beaten at the MXoN doesn't really prove anything, but it doesn't hurt. Having only 2 proper MXoN rides to your name and having beaten the likes of Villopoto, Dungey, Roczen, Baggett, Paulin, and Desalle is pretty impressive, even if one of them was in the sand.

He's still got a bit to do to prove himself as the fastest in the world, but I can say that he is the fastest rider I've ever seen. I can see why some people are not sure about him though.

No, it's very difficult to choose one rider as the best in the the world, because US racing and Grand Prix racing is so different now. Like you say though, if Villopoto becomes world champ, he would surely have to be classed as the best in the world and probably the best of his generation

Last week a dutch mx magazine came out with a big interview with Herlings. Some interested things in it...

Everts wanted him to ride the 85cc at his charity event when Jeffrey not wanted it.. (do it for the fans and the young kids) Jeffrey still did it, made his mistake and crashed. His own fault he said.

Everts never visited him in Hospital, even after Mexico Jeffrey said i heard 3 months nothing of him. No call No text. (Im injured do i need to call the team manager?)

Everts was not much influed with training during week en pre/season. Tixier and Jeffrey talked with KTM about it. Everts is now not longer team manager. Kicked out after this year it looks like..

Jeffrey said that the GP of Brazil (beta barrero/shoulder) cost him te Title, He was feeling good and got green light from doctor. But Everts wanted him not to go and let it heal...

Jeffrey was disappointed in Stefan Everts as person in life.

Some pretty weird and interested stuff.

I thought it was pretty well known that Everts didn't care for Herlings too much. Can't say that I blame him really, he comes across as a cocky big mouth to me.

He comes mayby across as a cocky big mouth boy. But he is a cool and good dude. Ive rode since 2005 with him and he is Always in for a talk and a friendly Hello.

Didn''t care much for Herlings... YOURE rider gets INJURED on YOURE charity event, and you not visited him in hospital and not give him a text or call for 3 months? Then your are BIG douchebag in my eyes.

Everts a douchebag?Yes. I think he's always been a cocky big mouth boy, just like Herlings and that's why I think they never got along that great. For him losing the title because he didn't ride early on in Brazil? C'mon man! He missed 4 out of the last five races and rode the last one on one leg Shocked .(Just like he did when he rode Lierop injured when Everts wanted him to wait and heal up Pinch ).On both occasions Herlings made his injury worse and he even admitted that afterwords. Looking back at a season it's easy to say " If i would have taken points there, the title would have been mine ".

I know Herlings is as tough as they come but he risked his health/career by racing with those injuries.
That being said there's NO EXCUSE not supporting your rider when he's injured! The least you can do is give the guy a call AND a few visits to check up on how he is doing...

The past is the past. The title 2014 is for Tixier and he rode for it until the last lap. Hoping to see a fired up Herlings and some highly motivated youngsters to try and challenge him.

He makes the rest look a lot slower because of his raw speed - imo JH is the most talented rider in the gp's. As for him being a "small fish in a big pond" if he went to USA, i dont think that would be the case. I would class J mart to be similar speed as ferandis/tixier on outdoors.

I think you don't give JMart enough credit.

Herlings would have a tough time winning here, and the same goes for JMart trying to win over there.

But goddam it.

Your. Yours. You own it.

You're. You are. As in you are gonna try harder next time!

I think if herlings came here everyone would have trouble beating him outdoors in the 250's
