Mid level seating usually the best in a corner of it's a football feild. If it's a baseball field 1st or 3rd baseline mid level seating.

In my opinion, there's a couple options for seats at a supercross. One option is to be as close as possible to be close(r) to the action, while the other option is to get seats a little bit higher where you can see everything. Both options are legitimate and have their pros and cons. I don't the know enough about the new stadium at santa clara to offer advice on that one, but i'll weigh in with my thoughts on the dallas SX that I go to every year.

I personally like to get seats as close and as low as possible. I like to be as close to the track as I can. You do lose the ability to see parts of the track that go behind the manager's tower and other track objects, but AT&T stadium has that humongous screen and I don't feel like I ever miss anything. Plus, I always come home and re-watch the race on TV anyways. The seats are also more expensive, but it's not like we are talking super bowl tickets or anything like that. In my opinion, they aren't that bad, especially if you are only going to one or two races a year. I try to pick my tickets after the track map is posted and then go based on what I feel like I want to see the most. Sometimes, it changes, but oh well. I have yet to ever be disappointed with a seat. The best seat I ever had was probably when I was up close on the lower level to watch Zach Bell do his best astronaut impersonation. I will never forget looking up at him flying threw the air and then crash to the ground. I seriously thought I had just seen someone die.

I like to be centre, one level up at the front so your still close enough and can see the whole track. I seat hop during practice in the lower levels right up close so I get the best of both for the night. (upper levels are closed off anyway during practice at most stadiums I think) I would never get seats in the very upper level at atlanta. Thats crazy far away, may as well stay at home lol (I've never seen the Levi Stadium sorry)

Does the stadium have an overhang? Get seats under an overhang for sure in case it rains, we did for the jersey race and stayed nice and dry.

There are areas underneath an overhang, look at a seating diagram and some pictures of the park and that will be be obvious.
If you end up with tickets in the 400 range, you're going to be pretty far from the action. That said, I don't think there will be any seats that don't have a good view of the entire field.

It's a nice stadium in a good area. Parking is really not bad, nor is getting out when it's over. At least that was the case at a Niner's game, and I doubt there will be anywhere near as many people going to the SX as there are going to the football game.
