Has anyone here raced it? I'm going this year for the first time, wondering if anyone can give me a heads up on anything I should consider going into it being a first timer. Looks like a bunch of fun! I'll be in 30+ B/C

Practice is a zoo,get in staging early and try to be at the front of your group or else you are in a mess of bikes. It is the most dangerous part of the day.

Cool. What class did you run? What was the format like over the 2 days. I watched the live stream last year but can't remember how it went.

I've raced there and will be doing it again this year. In the past they have done practice Sunday morning, then go right into racing. They will try and get through all of the 1st races and consi's on Sunday and then do the mains on Monday, depending on timing there may be a few consi's left to finish up early Monday morning. They run this event very fast, like clockwork. If you show up a little late for your practice or moto, you will be out of luck. They will go over everything during the riders meeting on Sunday.

They start early in the morning and that Sunday is the Daylight Savings time change weekend, so don't forget to change your watch before you go to bed Saturday night, it would suck to show up late and miss Sunday morning practice.

You will be parked in the infield the whole weekend, and it is a long walk to outside of the race track to the street where the shops and restaurants are located, so if you are coming in a Motorhome, you might want to bring a street bike or bicycle in your trailer to get around with, otherwise be prepared for some long walks.

It's a lot of fun, you will enjoy yourself there.

Thanks for the tips. I really appreciate it.

If only I could get a break in the weather up here in the North East so I can ride and not suck (as bad) in March.

Well, I was lucky, got the last spot in the 35 class and they have 2 left in the Senior 40 B/C. I am happy they added some to B/C because I didn't want to move to A class until after LL's.

When you coming down? We can hit a couple tracks for practice and if Kyle Goerke isn't loaded that week, maybe I can get you to his house for some practice.

We were there last year and had a great time. I would most definitely suggest doing whatever you can to get a decent parking spot. Coming and going once you are all set up is no big deal. There are stores close by making it easy for immediate needs.

We had an awesome experience... BRING SUNBLOCK! Smile

My son and I have rode it every year. Seems to get a little better and more organized each time. Practice is a little crazy. It would not be near as bad if people were not clogging up the road 30 minutes early, and then people cant get through......Races are like clock work. They are on a schedule and try to stick to it. The LCQs that were held over from the day before if I remember right went off before Monday practice and Mondays practice is very short.

Hopefully you got a garage, and then your pitted a little bit closer and it makes it easier to get around.

They do a good job taming the track down a bit, but yet it is still fun. The last thing they want is someone laying on their track, holding up the show.

Should be fun. I am not really liking the design of the track too much. Not sure they put a lot of effort into that this year.

Almost that time.

I haven't had much seat time this winter though. Bummed on that. I'm probably gonna suck.

Just saw this.

I'm headed south on Wednesday the 4th and staying south until Thursday the 12th. Was planning to hit Club MX on the way down, Pax Trax, and WWranch on the way back north, I'm flexible though. Just looking to have a good time.

Shoot me a text.
